YOU MAY BE A RAPTURE REDNECK.... BY DAVE MACPHERSON
(1) If you think that Antichrist is the sister of somebody's mother.
(2) If "posttrib" to you is the time after the Chicago Tribune arrives.
(3) If you guess that LaHaye is something that's made while LaSun is shining.
(4) If you're sure that Plymouth Brethren would excommunicate anyone driving a Ford or Chevy.
(5) If you don't believe that Thomas Ice is a substance that can slow down and freeze a thinking brain.
(6) If you think someone is stuttering if he says "666."
(7) If "partial rapture" is what you say you feel when your denture fits.
(8) If you think Grant Jeffrey doesn't go way back in time.
(9) If you assume that the Early Fathers were folks who were never late to meetings.
(10) If you reckon that the apocalypse are part of the dragon's mouth.
(11) If you imagine that Scofield's notes are never flat.
(12) If you think that R-A-P-T-U-R-E is the way to spell "relief."
(13) If you're sure that the King James Translation was when King James was raptured away.
(14) If you don't believe that Hal Lindsey wanted a rapture view that he could bank on.
(15) If you don't know that a "fig"ment of someone's imagination can cause "date"-setting.
(16) If you can't admit that Dallas The-Illogical Seminary was long famous for Walvoord-to-Walvoord carpeting.
(17) If you conclude that "The Rapture Plot" is where the pretrib rapture will be buried.
(18) If you think that an amill is someone who says "Ah!" whenever mill discussion is proposed.
(19) If you don't know that Margaret Macdonald's partial rapturism had her saying: "SOME of the saints know they'll be in heaven when the rapture happens because they aren't all here!"
(20) But even a rapture redneck knows that just because some don't want to be left doesn't mean they're right!
Incidentally, Cyrus Redneck has just come up with the very best argument for pretribulationism. He says that the letters in "rapture" can be found in "pretribulationism" but not in "midtribulationism," "posttribulationism," "prewrathism," or "partial rapturism"!

WAS CHUCK SMITH ECUMENICAL? JACOB PRASCH
Was Chuck Smith Ecumenical? James Jacob Prasch -Live Via Skype
This statement is blatantly false!!!
Chuck Smith did in fact make the unequivocal assertion that Roman Catholics are Christians! In his book, Answers For Today (1993), he made the following ecumenical statement:
"We should realize that we're all part of the Body of Christ and that there aren't any real divisions in the Body. We're all one. What a glorious day when we discover that God loves the Baptists! -- And the Presbyterians, and the Methodists, and the Catholics. We're all His and we all belong to Him. We see the whole Body of Christ, and we begin to strive together rather than striving against one another" (p157). (Emphasis mine).
Pastors Perspective with Chuck Smith and Don Stewart:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nc9bNm62SCU
Above.. Once again Chuck Smith states unequivocally that Roman Catholics are Christians: "I had a cousin who was a mother superior in the Catholic Church and she was just a wonderful Christian. I loved her and we had great conversations together and I didn't try to convert her from Catholicism, nor did she try to convert me into becoming a Catholic.. it is just we both recognise that we had the same Lord and the same faith and so forth.." He goes on to say that the differences between Christians and Catholics are not that great - his conclusion: "Catholics are basically Christians too."
.. have nothing to do with the deeds of darkness or those who promote false doctrines. What fellowship does light have with darkness? (Ephesians :5:11; 2 Corinthians 6:14). If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, (2 John 1:10). What precisely were Chuck Smith's motives in cultivating friendships with such wicked men apart from leading many believers astray?
Not only was Chuck Smith both ecumenical and a false prophet, he continued to sanction the ministry of his close associate Don Stewart after his adultery. Don Stewart left his wife and two teenage daughters for no good reason and married another woman in 2011. (Matthew 19:19). {4} Smith and Stewart had a long association going back to the early days of Calvary Chapel at Costa Mesa, and they jointly hosted Pastors Perspective for a number of years. Don Stewart continues a high profile ministry in association with Calvary Chapel despite being an adulterer! He is another false teacher who relentlessly promotes the pre-trib rapture deception.
Clearly Chuck Smith had no reservations whatsoever about ditching the scriptures whenever it was convenient!
Jacob Prasch recently re-published the following ill-conceived article by Jackie Alnor endorsing Freemason Billy Graham. {5} Moriel Ministries have now removed their link to this article:
"So in spite of our 20-20 hindsight in believing Billy Graham made the wrong call for the purity of the Church of Jesus Christ, he still deserves the honor of going down in history as the greatest evangelist of all time. That cannot be taken from him. Rest in eternal peace, Billy!!" https://www.moriel.org/articles-and-news/7029-the-legacy-of-billy-graham.html
Prasch's close association with "ecumenical prophet" David Noakes and his accomplice, false prophet, Clifford Hill (Moggerhanger Park), is also highly questionable. David Noakes will be a speaker at the Moriel Scottish Conference in Aberfoyle (Friday - Sunday 2nd-4th November 2018). {6}
Jacob Prasch's infamous intra-seal rapture theory has thoroughly baffled many believers. Although he tries to pass off intra-seal as a credible variation on the pre-wrath position, do not be fooled! I have not heard one pre-wrath teacher support intra-seal, although Prasch likes to brag that they have things in common! The silence from the pre-wrath camp is deafening! Intra-seal is an unoriginal piece of eisegesis that supports the unscriptural view of the Holy Spirit as taught by John Nelson Darby and the pre-trib camp. Prasch's assertion that the Holy Spirit is the "restrainer" of 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 is purely speculative. Furthermore, Prasch's assertion that the Holy Spirit is absent during the 70th week of Daniel and his further assertion there is no conviction of sin during this seven year period is unconscionable! The list of errors contained within intra-seal is nothing less than spectacular as demonstrated in my publication and my previous posts on the subject. {7} Prasch has much in common with Darby and his "chaotic" doctrine. BW Newton speculated that Darby may have been sent to Oxford to watch the evangelical movement on behalf of popery. He added that he had not read a line of Darby's writings that a papist might not use. {8} We can easily re-assign Professor Hertzog's observations regarding Darby to Jacob Prasch: "..he (Darby) displayed a haughty imperious, peremptory and ungovernable spirit in public.. Especially he (Darby) the rashness of his assertions, often contradictory; by the vagueness of his expressions; and by his wretched stratagem of jumping off from one subject to another." {8} This perfectly sums up Prasch and intra-seal! Beware of this man!

The above video is yet another example of Jacob Prasch's extraordinary duplicity.
Prasch continues to muddy the waters by endorsing his former friend, founder of Calvary Chapel, Chuck Smith.
Prasch continues to muddy the waters by endorsing his former friend, founder of Calvary Chapel, Chuck Smith.
Prasch: "Never once did he (Chuck Smith) endorse the ecumenical movement or the Roman Catholic Church."
He goes on to say that the differences between Christians and Catholics are not that great - his conclusion: "Catholics are basically Christians too."
Prasch's prevarications about Chuck Smith's inclusivism: "Because so many of the people in Calvary Chapel, who were coming to Calvary Chapel and who were getting saved were from Roman Catholic backgrounds. Chuck took a pastoral approach evangelistically, not wanting to alienate Catholics, so he was reserved about his criticism of Roman Catholic doctrine, theology, beliefs, practices and so forth. He was not one to speak against it, he thought, rightly or wrongly, that it would be counterproductive to seeing Roman Catholics get saved given the fact that so many people in Calvary Chapels were from Roman Catholic backgrounds."
Chuck Smith's inclusive approach was both unscriptural and ecumenical! Roman Catholicism is the very antithesis of true Christianity and only a deceiver would make such statements. In my experience, those who come out of Roman Catholicism are all the more eager to avoid it! They do not seek to be entangled by it again! (2 Peter 2:20).
ALL Calvary Chapel pastors deferred to the powerful personality of Chuck Smith rather than the scriptures, never mind about the fact that he falsely speculated that the rapture would occur before the end of 1981 at least three times! {1} The pre-trib rapture is of course a key doctrine of Calvary Chapel.
Apart from Smith's embarrassing rapture predictions, he appeared on TBN on many occasions. Chuck Smith and others like him, such as Greg Laurie and Chuck Missler, were/are tainted by association with this apostate organisation. (2 John 9-11). In fact TBN continues to promote Chuck Smith. {2} Paul Crouch referred to Smith as a "dear friend" after his death. {3} Smith was also a "good friend" of Rick Warren!!! The very thought of forming friendships with deceivers like Paul Crouch and Rick Warren should be abhorrent to any true believer!
Not only was Chuck Smith both ecumenical and a false prophet, he continued to sanction the ministry of his close associate Don Stewart after his adultery. Don Stewart left his wife and two teenage daughters for no good reason and married another woman in 2011. A more relevant question: Was Chuck Smith a Jesuit infiltrator and why does Jacob Prasch tell such blatant lies?
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1-6).
Prasch's endorsement of Chuck Smith is an insult to our intelligence. (Jeremiah 9:5).

WALVOORD'S POSTTRIB VARIETIES - PLUS ! BY DAVE MACPHERSON
(The late Dr. John Walvoord was long known as a leading pretrib rapture scholar as well as the president of Dallas Theological Seminary. Since he is still frequently quoted, readers may be interested in this short piece
that I put together some 17 years ago:)
Since 1976 John Walvoord, in
The Blessed Hope and the Tribulation and The Rapture Question: Revised
(hereafter BH and RQR) and on the Internet, has seen four "distinct" (BH, p. 21) and "contradictory" (RQR, p. 144) schools of thought
within the posttrib view.
(Later I'll show that within Walvoord's own pretrib view the crucial
timing of the rapture has had incredible variety along with fluctuating Scriptural bases!)
Walvoord focuses on what he says are "major tenets" of the various posttrib views. He asserts that posttribs are either "classic" or "semiclassic" or "futurist" or "dispensational." But he himself undermines his labels,
showing that his distinctions are not all that different!
Walvoord states that major beliefs of "classic" posttribs include "any day" imminency, a nonliteral tribulation, and a literal millennium (BH, pp. 22, 29;
RQR, p. 136). Amazingly, he finds the same three views in the "semiclassic" category!
Re the semiclassic group, he also notes some who see a future tribulation (BH, p. 36;
RQR, p. 139). In fact, he finds the same futurism in three of the four groups - even though only one is labeled "futurist"!
Walvoord comments that his third ("futurist") group is noted for belief in a literal future tribulation (BH, p. 18;
RQR, p. 142) and a literal millennium (BH, p. 57;
RQR, p. 142), adding that it doesn't embrace "any day" imminency (BH, p. 19;
RQR, p. 132).
But his fourth ("dispensational") group has the same non-imminency! Moreover, tribulational futurism is found in all groups except the first one, and he admits that a literal millennium is in all four groups!
Walvoord's muddying up of posttrib waters covers up an important fact: that for 1800 years Christians, though disagreeing on tribulational and millennial matters, never even dreamed of separating the rapture from the final
advent and giving the rapture a "favored coming status"!
The real varieties are found in
pretrib history and not only in peripheral items but also in its
timing of the rapture (its lifeblood)!
In 1829 a British group known as the Irvingites, inspired by Lev. 23's order of feasts, stretched the rapture forward and created a tiny, indeterminate gap between "stages" - in a posttrib setting.
During the early 1830's other Britishers began seeing a rapture before the 1260 tribulation days of Rev. 12; some based this rapture on Rev. 11's "witnesses" while others based it on Rev. 12's "man child."
Many have credited John Darby, Plymouth Brethren leader, with the pretrib view. His first clear pretrib basis, in 1839, was the same "man child."
But Edward Irving (initially inspired by pretrib originator Margaret Macdonald's short handwritten account of her early 1830 "discovery") had begun using the same symbol for the same purpose eight years earlier in
The Morning Watch, a journal Darby well knew and often cited!
By the 1870's pretribs had finally stretched their rudimental tribulational gap into a seven-year-long gap featuring a variety of bases: Rev. 3's "Philadelphia," Rev. 4's "John," or the
blank space between Rev. 3 and Rev. 4!!
The entire tell-all documentation on pretrib's origin and early development is in my recent book
The Rapture Plot (300 pgs., 400+ footnotes, 6 appendices, bibliog., index), obtainable at online bookstores including Armageddon Books.
The Rapture Plot also reveals, for the first time, how one 19th century British group cleverly stole the pretrib rapture idea away from another group by means of document changes, plagiarism,
etc. - unparalleled revisionism covered up for more than a century!

TRINITY LIFE CHURCH LEICESTER: FESTERING ECUMENISM AND APOSTASY!
The Second Beast: Revelation 13:11-18
11Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. 12It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. 13It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, 14and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. 16Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, 17so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. 18This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.
I Never Knew You
21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’.’ (Matthew 7:15-23).
Just as many Jewish leaders were not prepared for Jesus' first coming and put obstacles in the way of true faith, many within organised Christendom will not be prepared for His second coming. (Luke 18:8).
TLC is spreading like a cancer throughout Leicestershire via its unbiblical of expansion of satellite churches. (2 Timothy 2:17). They presently have seven campuses; the latest addition, launching in September, will be TLC Birstall. {3} There is no example of a multisite church in the New Testament. The clear scriptural model is that of Paul and Barnabus, whose practice was to plant new churches, to appoint leaders with prayer and fasting, and to release them into the care of the Lord: And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed. (Acts 14:23 cf. 2 Timothy 2:2; Titus 1:5).
Open Hands Trust
The latest example of TLC's descent into ungodliness can be found at their infamous 6 Degrees Coffee House which is the enterprise of the Open Hands Trust. I have written about this subject previously. {4} The Open Hands Trust was established in 2006 by Trinity Life Church.
Open Hands: "..with a heart to help those most vulnerable and disadvantaged in society, welcoming any in need through the doors of our Compassion Centre and inspiring hope for the future.
We should bear in mind that the Antichrist will be a great philanthropist. (John 12:4-5). There is of course only one hope for the future. (Ephesians 4:4). Open Hands do not offer the gospel alongside their various charitable works. In fact by their own actions, Open Hands effectively bound the gospel in 2013, due to the contract they entered into with their sponsors, the Big Lottery Fund. (2 Timothy 2:9; 1 Corinthians 9:16). The Big Lottery Fund regulations state: "Crucially, the activities undertaken with lottery money cannot promote religion or belief." {6} I have addressed the ethical implications of TLC's lottery funding in a previous post. {7}
I do not know where all the above churches stand regarding their relationship with Jesus Christ and I cannot comment on all of them. However I can speak about what I do know.
I wrote previously that Open Hands' 6 Degrees Coffee House is completely saturated in the number of the beast, 666. (Revelation 13:18). In fact TLC seem unable to shake off this wicked number to this very day. We might have sighed a sigh of relief that TLC have at last changed the three sixes on the front of their building, but nevertheless they cannot resist putting the third six somewhere or other, or multiples thereof in various forms. In fact the very logo itself comprises of six outer sixes and the yin yang coffee beans! This wicked logo is an abomination and the antithesis of Jesus Christ and the scriptures.
Princess Elizabeth's initiation into the Welsh Druids.
If you attend a mainstream church, it is highly unlikely that they will give any in depth teaching from the book of Revelation. The above passage refers to the "second beast", i.e. the harbinger of the first beast, the Antichrist. (Revelation 13:1-11). It is probable that the image of the beast is the “abomination that causes desolation” in the rebuilt third Jerusalem temple. (Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24:15). Historically many theologians recognise that the second beast will be a "religious" figure due to his identification as the false prophet. (Revelation 16:13; 19:20; 20:10). Many antichrists have already come, but the scriptures are specific that there will be a final figure, the Man of Sin. Paul gives this “man of sin” various names, or descriptors, which could only be applicable to an individual human being. (1 John 2:18). The Roman Catholic Church deceptively teach that both Jesus Christ and the sacraments are necessary for salvation. (2 Corinthians 11:4). This is a denial of the gospel that proclaims Jesus Christ alone as the saviour of the world. (Proverbs 30:6; Deuteronomy 4:2; Revelation 22:18). Indeed the RCC do have a form of godliness, but they deny the power of the true gospel. (2 Timothy 3:5). It is critical to recognise that the ecumenical movement being promoted by the RCC is a deceptive shift from the true gospel of Jesus Christ to the false gospel of the coming Antichrist, the coming one world religion and the New World Order. The word "antichrist", from anti and christos, is either one who puts himself in the place of, or is the enemy (opponent) of the Messiah. In fact both these definitions apply to the Antichrist.
Trinity Life Church Leicester
TLC: "We love God, love people and are passionate about Jesus, discipleship, compassion, mission and you." {1} TLC claims to be "all about Jesus", but are they really? They further claim that "the Bible is the Word of God." {2}
The above statements show TLC to be utter hypocrites. Anyone making such serious professions of faith should shun ALL connection with the ecumenical movement, and yet there are a number of instances where TLC have knowingly partnered with this wicked movement. (2 Corinthians 6:14).
“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?" (Luke 6:46).
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.." (John 14:15).
A Tree and Its Fruit
15“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

The latest example of TLC's descent into ungodliness can be found at their infamous 6 Degrees Coffee House which is the enterprise of the Open Hands Trust. I have written about this subject previously. {4} The Open Hands Trust was established in 2006 by Trinity Life Church.
Our strap line ‘Compassion in Action’ expresses our belief in being active at all times with compassion, offering hope in every situation through providing food, clothing, furniture, skills training, mentoring, advice and a listening ear. The charity runs the majority of its services out of its Compassion Centre in Highfields (Leicester), which receives over 200 visits each week, but also runs an OFSTED approved preschool in two areas of the city and a thriving and profitable subsidiary company, ‘6 Degrees Coffee House’, in order to support the charity’s good work." {5}
We should bear in mind that the Antichrist will be a great philanthropist. (John 12:4-5). There is of course only one hope for the future. (Ephesians 4:4). Open Hands do not offer the gospel alongside their various charitable works. In fact by their own actions, Open Hands effectively bound the gospel in 2013, due to the contract they entered into with their sponsors, the Big Lottery Fund. (2 Timothy 2:9; 1 Corinthians 9:16). The Big Lottery Fund regulations state: "Crucially, the activities undertaken with lottery money cannot promote religion or belief." {6} I have addressed the ethical implications of TLC's lottery funding in a previous post. {7}
Among the active directors of the Open Hands Trust are David and Susan Hind, the senior leaders of TLC, Brian Niblock, former pastor and now an elder at TLC, and Colin Jewitt, who is a Director of both TLC and Open Hands. {8}
Open Hands partners: Trinity Life Church Leicester, Knighton Free Church, St Wilfrid's Church Kibworth (CofE), New Life Church Fleckney, Leicester Jesus Centre (formerly Jesus Army), KingsGate Community Church Leicester, Living Rock (Midlands), St Christopher's Church Leicester (CofE), Abundant Pentecostal Church Leicester, Avenue Road Community Church Glen Parva and The Oak Centre Braunstone.
- The Church of England is openly and rabidly ecumenical. TLC's ecumenical links clearly continue to fester!
- I attended Knighton Free Church (KFC) for a very brief period of time a few years ago as a last ditch attempt to find true biblical fellowship in an organised church. However, it quickly became apparent that KFC had links with the CofE.. as demonstrated by their occasional guest speakers from St Mary's Church Knighton participation in their services. During my brief time at KFC, their minister, Andrew Upton, introduced the aberrant teachings of Bill Hybels, the now disgraced megachurch pastor, {9} and one of the ignominious signatories of the interfaith response to "A Common Word Between Us and You" (2007). I sent Andrew Upton ten pages of information about this Islamic/Christian document as he appeared to know nothing at all about it! {10} To seal KFC's fate as far as my involvement was concerned, the leader of the home group I attended denied the existence of eternal punishment. I did mention to him that if you deny eternal punishment, then you must also deny eternal salvation, since the same word, αἰώνιος, applies to both situations. (Matthew 25:46). During a very distressing meeting with Andrew Upton and his assistant, they decided that I had the problem! After they recommended the teachings of Calvinist heretic John Piper, it soon became clear to me that it would be sheer madness to remain! (Ephesians 5:11; 2 John 1:9-11). I now strongly suspect that KFC is a Calvinist church.
- Leicester Jesus Centre is the abusive cult formerly known as Jesus Army which has been in the media of late.
- The Oak Centre is the Braunstone branch of TLC.
TLC's idolatry of the Royal Family is completely out of sync with the scriptures! 6 Degrees Coffee House recently celebrated the Royal Wedding. I have nothing personal against Meghan Markle or the Royal Family, but they do not follow biblical Christianity. In God's eyes we are all sinners and I do hope and pray that they will repent and be saved. (Romans 3:23-24). Meghan Markle divorced her first husband, Trevor Engelson, in 2013, on the grounds of irretrievable breakdown. TLC's celebration of this wedding is a significant departure from the biblical principles they have historically defended. In biblical terms, remarriage is absolutely prohibited except by reason of sexual immorality. (Matthew 5:32; 19:9 1 Corinthians 7:9-10 cf. Malachi 2:16). John the Baptist reproved Herod Antipas for his illicit (adulterous) marriage to his brothers wife. (Mark 6:18; Leviticus 18:16, 20:21). For TLC to support such an event gives their approval to divorce and remarriage and it is a slap in the face to Jesus Christ. (James 4:4). Apart from that, the Royal Family are undeniably entrenched in the occult, their "religion" being more akin to Freemasonry than biblical Christianity. Queen Elizabeth II is the Grand Patroness of Freemasonry. Their obvious connection with the Druids and with various secret societies speaks for itself. {11}
It is a well known fact that Satanists use backwards numbers and letters! |
How many multiples of 666 are there above? |
The fallacy of 6 degrees of separation may be the academic equivalent of an urban myth according to scientists. |
I am reliably informed that if you visit 6 Degrees Coffee House (I do not recommend it), you would not realise that it has anything to do with Christianity at all. When TLC have finished celebrating ecumenism, false prophets and doctrines, trivia, quiz nights, myths, comedy nights, clothes swish and illicit marriages, perhaps they will give a little time to considering the Word of God! (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
