     I agree with Obama, Gore and many others that climate change is very real.

     But the climate change COVER-UP - something that Obama, Gore etc. don't talk about - is real too!

     Here are some climate-related disasters that world leaders and the media have swept under the rug:

     (1) The volcano that polluted so much of the oceans that a huge percentage of sea creatures died.

     (2) Something like an asteroid polluted some major river systems, causing the deaths of many who tried to drink the water.

     (3) A plague of scorpion-like creatures coming mysteriously out of the earth that attacked and poisoned vast numbers of persons - and no known treatment or medicine was able to stop the disaster.

     (4) The sudden, record-breaking solar flare that horribly scorched many globally that's never been reported in the mainstream media!

     (5) The unexplainable evaporation of all of the water in one of the greatest rivers on earth.

     (6) A hailstorm with hail the largest in recorded history (when compared with hailstorms before and after it).

     By the way, all of the above disasters were actually predicted, but Obama and other world leaders and activists have decided that total silence is the way to deal with such horrendous events.

     There's a reason for their silence and cover-up and here it is:

     They've been silent because all six disasters discussed above haven't happened yet and are still future! I decided to use my writer's imagination and imagined I was living in the last part of the book of Revelation and, as a survivor, was looking back at colossal events I had just somehow survived!

     Yes, the same climate events are real and really ahead of us - and climate activists should focus on that future time which could be just around the corner. During that relatively short period of time, at least one-half of the world's population will die, as predicted in that same book!

     One final thought: if any person wants to be a personal friend with the Author of that awesome book (a rewarding connection that millions have discovered is absolutely free and easy to make), the same person's own end will never be a never-ending dark night!

Many Christians have different views and come into conflict over various aspects of eschatology, and of course, theology in general. At the end of the day, knowledge of spiritual realities may belie our true spiritual condition. In truth character is the defining factor that reveals spirituality. If we teat others disrespectfully and resort to ad hominem attacks, then God says that we are nothing..

And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:2)

Joel Richardson recently hit the nail on the head when he said: "We might disagree with our brothers, but we need to treat each other with respect. Who cares if you understand prophecy if you don't have the character of Christ."{1}

The dictionary definition of "revile" is: "to assail with contemptuous or opprobrious language; address or speak of abusively." {2} 

Biblically, to "revile" is quite literally to curse someone (James 3:9-10 cf. Ecclesiastes 10:20; Exodus 22:28). It is also linked to mockery, taunting and dishonour (Psalm 74:10; 44:16), and defined as persecution against those who stand up for the truth (Matthew 5:11). This form of persecution varies from mild forms of exclusion and snubbing to extreme vilification and public humiliation. Many who challenge the ongoing apostasy in the churches are increasingly wearied by revilers. We are those who have the audacity to search the scriptures for ourselves and to ask uncomfortable questions. We try to do so in a polite and respectful manner, but generally the response is that we are quite literally cursed, treated like enemies, ignored and degraded in all sorts of ways: My brothers these things ought not to be so.. but in too many cases they are so. The response of some who view themselves as Christian "movers and shakers" is to tear anyone to pieces who question their views (Romans 12:3). They do not realise that they have slipped up in the most elementary teaching of Christ, they have forgotten that first and foremost, love defines Christianity. Love and truth are of course an inseparable combination in the Bible. (2 John 1-13)

How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water. (James 3:5-12)

It is interesting that God puts "revilers" in the same category as the sexually immoral, the greedy, idolaters etc. and a commandment is attached: 

But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. (1 Corinthians 5:11)

Beware of revilers, they do not serve Jesus Christ. A reviler is someone who speaks from the perspective of the world and the perspective of death: 

For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother’s righteous. Do not be surprised, brothers, that the world hates you. We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death. Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:11-18)

Joel Richardson mentions "the good old boys club". Good old boys clubs are of course not limited to one particular group, such as dispensationalists. They run rife in all kinds of ministries and denominations. They seek to exclude and discredit any individual who challenges their ideas with the scriptures. This is nothing new and we should not be surprised, we are literally sheep amongst the wolves (Matthew 10:16). Though it is very hard at times, it is good to remember that Christ suffered the same kinds of humiliation and much worse: .. a servant is not above his master. (Matthew 10:23-24)

Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:11)

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT: 

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. Joel Richardson has, I believe, been severly criticised for his minority view on an Islamic Antichrist. Whilst this view does have its problems, we should be able to refute it without doing the man an injury. Furthermore, it does seem more than a little perverse that pretribulationist, annihilationist and intra-seal teachers are criticising this view. Stones and glass houses come to mind!

jacob prasch moriel ministries and his rabid tirade! who is the liar by the way?

Jacob Prasch's latest tirade makes me think that he must have lost the plot completely. He now denies, kind of, that he claimed to pre-date the pre-wrath scholars regarding the pre-wrath position. JP also claims, surprisingly, that the work of Robert Van Kampen and Marvin Rosenthall was not groundbreaking at all and that Samuel Tregelles pre-dated them!

* Just to clarify exactly what JP said about his views pre-dating pre-wrath, I quote him verbatim below. He was desperately back-pedalling in a more recent rant yesterday, during which he denounced me as a feminist and a liar. His video of just three days ago certainly suggests very strongly to me that he claimed to pre-date the pre-wrath position, but I shall let you be the judge:

JP: "LONG BEFORE the term 'pre-wrath' was crystallised... I and others like me.. BEFORE pre-wrath came into vogue, BEFORE the term was coined, I believed that the rapture was between the sixth and seventh seal.. I own a copy of Robert Van Kampens book 'The Rapture Question Answered' which was published in 1997. Tregelles gets a brief mention on page 193 for his part in opposing pretribulationalism, but there is no allusion to any role he supposedly played in developing the pre-wrath view. IF he played a groundbreaking part in establishing the pre-wrath view as JP contends, why isn't he mentioned in this respect by Van Kampen?

Just in case there was any doubt however, my friend Colin Ford contacted the Secretary of the Sovereign Grace Advent Testimony (SGAT), Mr Stephen A Toms, who has been secretary of the SGAT for over forty years since 1974, printing and distributing prophetic material. Mr Toms has thoroughly confirmed that Samuel Tregelles was post-tribulational. 

COLIN FORD:

"Speaking of the Pre-Wrath view, Jacob Prasch says on page 19 in his 2011 book 'Shadows of the Beast'; 

'This view, however, is not new but predates any other main position for the timing of the Rapture and Resurrection. Dr Tregelles was not a dispensationalist in the generally accepted sense of the word. He was most certainly a post tribulationist.

* No other scholar that I am aware of cites the gospel of John as an eschatological birth pangs motif in the peculiar sense that JP does. The context and the co-text simply do not allow for such an interpretation.

I shall repeat my argument again:

JP: "As translated by The New Testament Greek, Jesus clearly and directly refers to the 'Beginning of Birth pangs' as "Thelipsis" / TRIBULATION in John 16:21 .....in this same John chapter 16 in verses 20-22, Jesus speaks of His Second Coming as being proceeded by the Birth Pangs seen in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and as is illustrated in the vision of the woman in travail in Revelation chapter 12.." {2}

The context defines the meaning of thlipsis. The PRIMARY MEANING of John 16 is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the birth of the church. The disciples would "weep and lament" - they would be "sorrowful", but their sorrow would turn to joy (verse 20). ....you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. (John 16:22) Jesus refers to his post-resurrection appearances and the permanent presence of the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, as a result of his departure (cf. 14:17). The disciples DID NOT experience persecution during the time that they were weeping/lamenting/sorrowful. If THE PRIMARY MEANING does not speak of tribulation, why should any SECONDARY MEANING? Most translators have "anguish" (thlipsis v21) and not tribulation or persecution. JP has twisted thlipsis to fit his own interpretation - this is a dishonest use of the context! (2 Peter 3:16-17).

The first four seals broken in Revelation 6:1-6 correspond with the birth pains in Matthew 24:5-8. The great tribulation corresponds with the breaking of the fifth seal Revelation 6.

It is important to notice that the beginning of birth pains/the four horsemen are WORLD WIDE PHENOMENA, they do not specifically apply to the tribulation of the church as JP insists. 

Matthew 24: The tribulation follows the birth pains in verses 5-8.... THEN verse 9..... In other words, JP's insistence that tribulation is associated with the beginning of birth pains is false. There is no disconnect between “the tribulation” of verse 9 and “the great tribulation” of verse 21. The first word in verse 15 is THEREFORE - oún (a conjunction: therefore, now then, accordingly so - typically translated "therefore" which means, "By extension, here's how the dots connect".

For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. THEN they will deliver you up to TRIBULATION and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. verse 15: THEREFORE (οὖν) when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel...... verse 21: For then there will be GREAT TRIBULATION, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be (Matthew 24:5-21). Mark 13 confirms the sequence of events in Matthew 24. 

Revelation 12: The event that triggers the tribulation is Satan's expulsion from heaven when he is thrown down to earth (Revelation 12:7-12). The woman (Israel) will be divinely protected after the midweek abomination of desolation and during the subsequent reign of the Antichrist. (Revelation 12:16) AFTER THAT HAPPENS the Antichrist turns his attention towards believers: THEN the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea. (Revelation 12:17)

Once again, no specific "tribulation" is mentioned prior to the mid point of the 70th week.

* Jacob Prasch claims to be a mind reader as well! He says that I am at odds with Moriel because they believe that leadership is male and that I want to be a teacher and to teach men!!! I have never said or even implied any such thing! I guess JP has to grasp at whatever straw he can, since he cannot refute me biblically. I can assure my readers that I have no "men wearing skirts pandering to me" at all. This is an insult I believe to Colin and Irv who regularly post comments on my blog. Actually Colin has corrected me a few times and I am very thankful to him for his wisdom and knowledge. Irv is also a mine of information and specialises in eschatology in his own right. If JP were not so very dangerous, with vulnerable Christians hanging onto his every word, I would not bother to refute him. Moriel gets questioned.. Jacob Prasch's crooked response!!!

Reading Jacob Prasch's statement dated the 5th of August above, it is quite astonishing that he should claim that his belief that the rapture takes place between the sixth and seventh seals in the book of Revelation pre-dates the pre-wrath view. Let us do a little calculation shall we? Jacob Prasch claims that he became a Christian in February of 1972 through The Children of God cult. After leaving The Children of God, he admits to getting caught up in various false teachings during the following five years.{1} That brings us to 1977. Robert Van Kampen taught and developed what is known today as the "pre-wrath" rapture during the 1970s, and Marvin Rosenthal eventually published his book The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church in 1990.{2} Is JP seriously expecting us to believe that he had his eschatology all sorted out during the 1970's prior to Van Kampen and Rosenthall? There were two views of the rapture prior the 1970's: The classic post-tribulational view, and Darby's false pre-tribulational view which became popular after the 1830s. Dispensationalist Robert Gundry also modified the post-trib position to take account of the 7th seal. I am not aware of anyone preaching a rapture in between the 6th and 7th seal of Revelation pre-dating Gundry, Van Kampen and Rosenthall, and yet JP says that he and some mysterious "others" believed this view. It does not add up does it? Perhaps this is JP's nod to his Irish descent since it is clearly a bit of Irish blarney! I do not like to call anyone an outright liar, but I do not know what else to call this piece of fiction!

I will not repeat the various questions put to Moriel. They are a conglomeration of dislocated statements which most people would find quite frustrating to read unless they had a particular interest. It has been suggested to me by more than one person that the whole article was "engineered" in order to generate confusion. The link to the article is at the top of this post for my readers to access the various questions if they so wish. 

But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase. (Daniel 12:4)

Apocalypsis means unveiling or revelation. The Book of Revelation i.e. The Apocalypse of John compliments and unseals Daniel, but further than that we must not go! (Revelation 22:18). Whatever "understanding" we may gain about the last days should always find support from the scriptures, and JP's "intra-seal" theory does not pass that test (1 John 4:1). We can gain confidence and "understanding" in that the Book of Daniel has been fulfilled up to this point in time historically e.g. Daniel's vision of the four beasts/four world empires, the coming of the Medo-Persian, Greek, and Roman empires, Alexander the Great, Antiochus Epiphanes etc.

As much as JP professes that pre-wrath and intra-seal are very similar, indeed they are not!

Basically JP has taken the ground-breaking research done by the original pre-wrath scholars and has corrupted it!!! 

Problematically, JP's intra-seal rapture theory differs from pre-wrath in that it identifies
the Holy Spirit as the Restrainer of 2 Thessalonians 2:7 and it demolishes grace for the entirety of the 70th week of Daniel. This highly questionable assertion about the identity of the Restrainer was the original idea of John Nelson Darby, a man, who, in my view, was demonically inspired. In fact, JP has quite a lot in common with Darby - in particular JP's massive ego and his penchant for distorting the scriptures and inventing false doctrines. In Darby's case it was dispensationalism and pretribulationism. In JP's case it is "the reversal of Pentecost" and "the end of grace" during the 70th week of Daniel. Darby's aggressive cultish behaviour towards his detractors is legendary. Likewise, JP is well known for making demeaning statements and verbally bulling anyone in disagreement with his specific and particular "doctrines". There is nothing original about the work of either of these men when we examine their theology. Darby clandestinely stole his ideas from the Irvingites, whereas JP has stolen his ideas from the pre-wrath scholars and has corrupted their work. This is no small matter.. when JP talks about grace coming to an end during the 70th week of Daniel, he effectively changes the whole dynamic of the gospel. JP's defective exegesis demolishes grace and suppresses the gospel during the final seven years of history. I doubt very much whether the pre-wrath camp would view this as a minor difference!

The intra-seal view goes beyond what is written (1 Corinthians 4:6). As I have pointed out in a previous post, if we are in our right senses and have not been browbeaten by JP, we should consider the identity of the Restrainer as secondary. If it were primary, then I believe that it would be included in the scriptures! JP teaches this secondary question emphatically and prophetically as of primary importance, with phrases like "pay attention". Doesn't this contradict the statement: "Moriel and Jacob Prasch reject the concept (of) new or further doctrinal revelation"? 

JP's "intra-seal" theory has more holes than a second hand dart board. I have published a lengthy post going through all of the problems it throws up on the link below {3}. I will very briefly point out a few of these problems here. 

*JP's use of the metaphor "the night" in the gospel of John is taken completely out of context.

We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. (John 9:4; 12:35 cf. John 8:12)

In John chapter 9, Jesus heals a man born blind. When he uses the metaphor of "the night", and the phrase "no man can work",  Jesus refers to his death. The term "day" above refers to the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, night is coming, meaning in this context his arrest and execution. Jesus referred to Himself as the light of the world (John 9:4). Jesus predicts his death: The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light (John 12:35). 

The night is also indicative of the last half of the 70th week (1 Thessalonians 5:2; Matthew 25:6; Luke 17:34), but without a primary meaning in John 9, we cannot apply the isolated phrase "no man can work" to the 70th week of Daniel exegetically. JP has spiritualised this phrase out of context since it cannot be established that 'the night' in John 9 refers to the tribulation from the peshet point of view.

Thlipsis in John 16:21 does not refer to persecution/tribulation at all, rather it refers to the disciples sorrow after Jesus' execution.{2} The scriptures themselves DO NOT refer to the entirety of the 70th week as tribulation as JP claims. It is important to notice that the beginning of birth pains/the four horsemen are WORLD WIDE PHENOMENA, they do not apply specifically to the tribulation of the church and they are not connected to the removal of the Restrainer. The text below clearly indicates that tribulation follows the first 3.5 years of world wide phenomena i.e. the beginning of birth pains: 

And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. THEN they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death.....   (Matthew 24:4-8; cf. Mark 13:3-13; Revelation 12).  

* The two witnesses of Revelation 11:1-14 die and are resurrected during the second woe i.e. after the sixth trumpet is blown (Revelation 11:14). This demonstrates that they will prophesy for 1,260 days during the second half of the 70th week of Daniel. Their death occurs just before the seventh trumpet is blown i.e. just prior to the Day of the Lord when the bowls of God's wrath will be released. JP's view agrees with the pretribulational position that the two witnesses will minister during the first half of the 70th week.

For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. (2 Corinthians 11:14)

In the very next verse the Apostle Paul says: ...I consider that I am not in the least inferior to these super-apostles (2 Corinthians 11:15). The tactics of JP as some kind of superior guru who will not be questioned is alarming, as is his habit of vilifying those who would take him to task. We should not assume that just because JP has been effective in exposing "charismania" that he has all the answers. The same scrutinization applies to JP just as much as any other teacher (1 John 4:1 cf. Acts 17:11).

Just to clarify exactly what JP said about his views pre-dating pre-wrath, I quote him verbatim below. He is now furiously back-pedalling in a further rabid tirade in which he denounces me as a feminist and a liar. His claims of just three days ago certainly suggest very strongly to me that his views on the rapture pre-dated the pre-wrath position, but I shall let you be the judge.

grace distorted: the hypocrisy of jacob prasch moriel ministries!

Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgement of God? Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgement will be revealed. (Romans 2:3-5)

Is it credible to believe that the Lord has been waiting for two thousand years or so to reveal the intra-seal rapture and the identity of the Restrainer to Jacob Prasch? This emphatic teaching that JP insists we should "pay attention to" has profound implications for our understanding about grace during the 70th week of Daniel. JP's identification of the Holy Spirit as the Restrainer and His supposed departure from the world during the 70th week of Daniel is a teaching which effectively demolishes grace and suppresses the gospel during the final seven years of history. As such it is no small matter! If we are in our right senses, we should consider the identity of the Restrainer a secondary question. If it were primary, then I believe the Lord would have ensured that it was included in the scriptures! Jacob Prasch has some very different ideas however! As it is, the gospel is called an everlasting gospel which will be proclaimed until the end of the age. (Revelation 14:6; Matthew 24:14) Believers are instructed to preach the gospel in season and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2). During the great tribulation Jesus Christ himself tells us that this is our opportunity to bear witness: ".....for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict." (Luke 21:15).

JP's teaching on the Restrainer in 2 Thessalonians is the most convoluted teaching I have ever heard. I have found it difficult to establish which part of the 70th week of Daniel he refers to when he frequently talks about "this period", but I have finally established that he refers to the entirety of the 70th week as the period when grace supposedly comes to an end, the Holy Spirit is taken from the world and believers will no longer be able to preach the gospel. The scriptures he quotes to support his arguments fall down under exegetical investigation and are very puzzling indeed. JP seems to "forget" his golden rule that the 'pesher' (spiritual interpretation) depends on the 'peshet' (literal interpretation) in his midrashic hermeneutic. He also seems to "forget" his frequent admonition: "A text out of context and isolation from its co-text is always a pretext."  

I have quoted JP verbatim below:  

JP: "Pentecost is reversed... the same as Jesus went and sent the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit goes and sends Jesus. In that interim period you have a powerless church that cannot fulfil its mission any more. 'work while you have the light; night comes - no man can work.' JP's use of the metaphor "the night" in the gospel of John is taken completely out of context.

We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. (John 9:4; 12:35 cf. John 8:12)

In John chapter 9, Jesus heals a man born blind. When he uses the metaphor of "the night", and the phrase "no man can work",  Jesus refers to his death. The term "day" above refers to the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, night is coming, meaning in this context his arrest and execution. Jesus referred to Himself as the light of the world (John 9:4). Jesus predicts his death: The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light (John 12:35).

The night is also indicative of the last half of the 70th week (1 Thessalonians 5:2; Matthew 25:6; Luke 17:34), but without a primary meaning in John 9, we cannot apply the isolated phrase "no man can work" to the 70th week of Daniel exegetically. JP has spiritualised this phrase out of context since it cannot be established that 'the night' in John 9 refers to the tribulation from the peshet point of view.

Further instances where JP does the exactly same thing:

*JP: "As translated by The New Testament Greek, Jesus clearly and directly refers to the 'Beginning of Birth pangs' as "Thelipsis" / TRIBULATION in John 16:21 .....in this same John chapter 16 in verses 20-22, Jesus speaks of His Second Coming as being proceeded by the Birth Pangs seen in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and as is illustrated in the vision of the woman in travail in Revelation chapter 12." {2}

I have demonstrated in my previous post that thlipsis in John 16:21 does not refer to persecution/tribulation at all, rather it refers to the disciples sorrow after Jesus' execution.{2} The scriptures themselves DO NOT refer to the entirety of the 70th week as tribulation as JP claims. It is important to notice that the beginning of birth pains/the four horsemen are WORLD WIDE PHENOMENA, they do not apply specifically to the tribulation of the church and they are not connected to the removal of the Restrainer. The text below clearly indicates that tribulation follows the first 3.5 years of world wide phenomena i.e. the beginning of birth pains:

And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. THEN they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death.....   (Matthew 24:4-8; cf. Mark 13:3-13; Revelation 12).

*JP applies the phrase: "the shattering of the power of the holy people" to the persecuted church during the great tribulation (Daniel 12:7). This is yet another peculiar view of JP in contradiction to the traditional view that it refers to the Jewish people.{2} 

*The Age of Grace is referred to by dispensationalists as the Dispensation of Grace or the Church Age. The Church Age began at Pentecost and ushered in the fullness of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. The completion of the times of the Gentiles will occur at the end of the age when the full inclusion of the Jews takes place and they are "grafted into their own olive tree" (Romans 11:1-36). In other words, grace does not end until the completion of the 70th week of Daniel. 

They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (Luke 21:24 cf Revelation 11:2)

Alan Kurschner: " Revelation 11:2 indicates that the end of Jerusalem’s trampling by Gentiles culminates with the end of the second half of Daniel’s Seventieth Week.(10)..... John writes in Revelation 11:2, 'Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread [trample] under foot the holy city for forty-two months.' The grammatical and theological parallels between this verse and Luke 21:24 establish a clear termination point for the 'times of the Gentiles.' Not surprisingly, it is exactly as Daniel 9:24 indicated." {3}

Ironically, JP mercilessly attacks and reviles others for their faulty eschatology and false teaching. However, I would suggest that his own "errors" are perhaps just as dangerous, if not more so. We should consider with some trepidation the ramifications of identifying the Holy Spirit as the Restrainer. Doesn't JP misrepresent God Himself since the Holy Spirit is omnipresent? (Psalm 139:7). Doesn't JP also misrepresent the critical seven year period at the end of time when there will be widespread delusion (2 Thessalonians 2:11)? The warning from Jesus Christ is: Let no one deceive you in any way. (2 Thessalonians 2:3). If JP's distortions were due to stupidity then perhaps he would have more of an excuse. As it is, I cannot account for such distortions of the scriptures other than to conclude that they are a deliberate attempt to mislead the Body of Christ during the 70th week of Daniel. Beware of this hypocrite he is very dangerous!

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20).

the shattering of the power of the holy people: another red flag - the isolated interpretation of Jacob Prasch Moriel Ministries

Essentially the Intra-Seal theory, devised and peddled by Jacob Prasch, is a systematic denial of the gospel and the ministry of the Holy Spirit for the entirety of the 70th week of Daniel! As such, it should be viewed as a very serious false teaching.

I shall quote JP verbatim in order to avoid the possibility of being accused of quoting him out of context:

"Pentecost is reversed... the same as Jesus went and sent the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit goes and sends Jesus. In that interim period you have a powerless church that cannot fulfil its mission any more. 'work while you have the light; night comes - no man can work.' Does this mean the Holy Spirit is taken from us as individuals? No! What happened in John 20 is forever 'I will never leave you or forsake you.' .....but what happened at Pentecost is over. There is no longer conviction of sin, no more grace, now he is getting ready to be the God of wrath again. Pentecost is reversed..... That period of powerless in the interim is 'the shattering of the power of the Holy people.'"{1} 

"There will be a very difficult period called 'the shattering of the power of the holy people'. The church will have become so worldly and so corrupted, persecution becomes a necessary evil to sort out the faithful bride from the harlot church..... this will be the last chance for the bride to get ready... Don't confuse 'why are we here' with 'why is the church here'; the church will be finished, it will face disolution; the church will not be here, just the faithful people who are in it will be here waiting to be rescued. God will leave them here for purposes of preparing them for the coming of Jesus"{2}  

As far as I am aware, all other commentators believe "the shattering the power of the holy people" refers not to the church, but to the Jewish people. The only exception is Chris White, who believes that the 3.5 years is based on the exhausting of the power of the Antichrist, not the power of the people he “shatters" (see below). Here we have yet another isolated interpretation from JP which finds no biblical support and no agreement either historically or with modern scholarship!

I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time; and as soon as they finish shattering the power of the holy people, all these events will be completed. (Daniel 12:7) 

Daniel 12:7 corresponds to Revelation 10:5-7 below. As well as alluding to the persecution of Antiochus and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD, the shattering of the power of the holy people concerns the time of Jacob's trouble. Daniel 12:1 confirms this and also identifies Michael as contending against Satan: At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book. (Daniel 12:1).

And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay, but that in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as he announced to his servants the prophets. (Revelation 10:5-7)

And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream; he raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven and swore by him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time, and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these things would be finished. (Daniel 12:7)

The problem lies in identifying "the holy people". In context, this phrase refers to Daniel's people i.e. Israel, the Jewish people: "your people" (Daniel 12:1) "your people and your holy city." (Daniel 9:24). Daniel 12:1 marks the beginning of the "time of Jacob's trouble" with the abomination of desolation. (Matthew 24:15-22; Jeremiah 30:4-7). Unbelieving Israel will be shattered by the Antichrist and his anti-Semitic forces during the great tribulation. (Matthew 24:21 cf. Daniel 11:31). The question is, can we apply this verse to the faithful church? In the second part of the prophecy contained in the Olivet discourse. (Matthew 24:15-22), Jesus refers to Daniel and confines himself almost entirely to the fate of Jerusalem. The coming prince who will destroy Jerusalem and the Temple—the one who will make the Jewish nation desolate. (Daniel 9:26-27). The last half of Daniel’s seventieth week ends with the shattering of the Jewish nation (cf. Daniel 12:7). Certainly the church will experience terrible persecution during the great tribulation and the horn (Antichrist) will prevail over it. (Daniel 7:21, 25; Revelation 13:7). However, Israel does have to be distinguished from the church since it seems the purpose of their "shattering" is for their ultimate salvation (Jeremiah 30:7), whereas the faithful church will be persecuted, not to bring them to faith, but due to their already existing faith. If "the shattering" refers to the church, persecution is never linked to diminished activity of the Holy Spirit in the scriptures, rather persecution is the result of the activity of the Holy Spirit and the preaching of the gospel. (2 Timothy 1:8; 2:9). 

Below are some commentary notes from Stephen R. Miller which shows the traditional view i.e. that Daniel 12:7 refers to the Jews:

“During these three and one-half years,“the power of the holy people” will be “finally [probably better, “completely”] broken [or “shattered”].” The “holy people” in this context is a specific reference to Israel; therefore their “power” being “broken” signifies that the nation will be utterly defeated by their enemies. That the Jewish state will be attacked by many nations and crushed by them is taught elsewhere in Scripture (e.g., Zech 12–14). A breakdown in Israel's resistance to God (and his Messiah) may also be implied here. When in desperate straits, the Jewish people will cry out to God for help, repent of their sins, and receive Jesus as their Messiah (cf. Zech 12:10–14). At that time the Lord will return to rule the earth, and the tribulation will end (“all these things will be completed”). Zechariah describes Israel's deliverance (cf. 14:3–11).”{3}

Chris White's commentary on the Book of Daniel:

"When the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished. Many Bible versions give the impression that the finishing of all these things is contingent on the power of the holy people being completely shattered, but this conclusion would be wrong. The NET Bible renders the phrase this way: 'It is for a time, times, and half a time. Then, when the power of the one who shatters the holy people has been exhausted, all these things will be finished.'

This seems to reverse the meaning. It is saying that the 3.5 years is based on the exhausting of the power of the Antichrist, not the power of the people he 'shatters.' While the NET makes this case based on a linguistic argument,[54] it also enjoys some scriptural support. And he [Antichrist] was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority [power] to continue for forty-two months. - Rev 13: 5 Here we are told that the Antichrist is given “authority” for 42 months or 3.5 years. We can see that the 3.5 years will come to a conclusion, not because of anything that the people or the Antichrist do, but rather because that is the time allotted to him by God. When that authority is exhausted, God will finish him. So that is the meaning of the phrase 'when the power of the one who shatters the holy people has been exhausted, all these things will be finished.'"{4} 

David C. Grabbe: 

If the church's power—Jesus Christ, living in us by His Spirit—were ever "completely shattered," the gates of the grave would prevail against the church, and God's purpose would fail! But we know that cannot be so. Even though it is prophesied that the "holy"—set-apart—peoples of Israel will fall, and even though the church of God may not always have an open door to preach the gospel powerfully to the world—depending on what God is doing at any point in time—we can have every confidence that the power of the New Covenant church will never be shattered—for that power is God Himself!

In general, the book of Daniel contains prophecies of world-ruling empires that are mentioned only as they encounter Israel. The "holy people" of Daniel 12:7 could just as easily represent the nations of Israel, and the fact that their "power" can be shattered strongly implies that God's power is not under discussion. Defining the power of God's church as "shatterable" reveals a humanist bent, as it assigns importance based on corruptible human action rather than the will and outworking of the unassailable Head of the church. In fact, such an inclination on our part may have been part of the cause of the church's scattering in the first place! {5} 

Here we have yet another red flag going up concerning Jacob Prasch's skewed eschatological interpretations. I wonder how many more red flags we need in order to disregard JP as a valid voice on this subject? As I have said before, it is vital that the church has an accurate view about the 70th week of Daniel and is not deceived. We need to reject these unhinged ramblings based on human interpretation. (Matthew 15:9).

As before, I shall quote Jacob Prasch verbatim in order to avoid any accusation of quoting him out of context.

Things are not quite so clear cut as Jacob Prasch would have us believe. An unbalanced and distorted view of the scriptures is always very dangerous as I am sure he well knows. Pat Roberts aptly points out: "Too many heads, too many coverings, the murky teachings of Jacob Prasch." {1} 

Was Deborah's head "covered" by Barak?

The Canaanites were defeated under the prophetic leadership of Deborah and the military leadership of Barak.. but make no mistake about it, Deborah was calling the shots. Deborah summoned Barak, the son of Abinoam, from his home at Kedesh in Naphtali, and ordered him, in the name of Yahweh, to take ten thousand men to Mount Tabor. He agreed, on condition that Deborah accompanied him (Judges 4:4-10). 

Deborah was judging Israel in her own right without any reference to a man.. the people of Israel came up to her for judgement (Judges 4:4-5). Barak was the next judge of Israel AFTER Deborah and he preceded Gideon. The scriptures make very clear that Barak would not get the honour for the victory over the Canaanites led by Sisera: .....the honor will not be yours, for the LORD will deliver Sisera into the hands of a woman." (Judges 4:9). In fact the honour did not go to Deborah either, it went to Jael (Judges 5:24).

A few examples of judges, prophets and kings are given in Hebrews 11:32, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets—  but we should not read more into this than we ought to. It is true that Barak achieved the military victory over the Canaanites, but this was before he actually became judge, and it was under the prophetic ministry of Deborah. However unpalatable JP finds it, Deborah was acting directly under God without a human male "covering". Technically of course Deborah's "head" should have been her husband and not Barak. It is very interesting that Deborah's role as a "prophetess" takes priority over her role as a wife!

Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time. (Judges 4:4)

Deborah may have been an exception to the rule, but nevertheless, there she is, as large as life acting without a male "covering". How very inconvenient!

Examples of "prophetess" as an identifier ahead of familial connections:

Isaiah referred to his wife as "the prophetess": And I went to the prophetess, and she conceived and bore a son. Then the LORD said to me, “Call his name Maher-shalal-hash-baz; (Isaiah 8:3)

So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asaiah went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the Second Quarter), and they talked with her. And she said to them, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: ‘Tell the man who sent you to me, Thus says the Lord, Behold, I will bring disaster upon this place and upon its inhabitants, all the words of the book that the king of Judah has read.....'" (2 Kings 22:14-20 cf. 2 Chronicles 34:22)

Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dancing. (Exodus 15:20)

And there was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher..... And coming up at that very hour she began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem. (Luke 2:36).

Biblically, it appears that spiritual authority is closely linked with hearing from God and being commissioned by Him for ministry and service. Deborah is a clear example of this. From the above examples, a woman's role as "prophetess" takes precedence over her relationship to male family members. This of course contradicts JP's insistence that every woman needs a Mordecai and be subject to various male family members or church elders.{2} In my own experience, male elders will attempt to crush such a gift rather than offering their support, JP being a case in point. Whilst it is true that Eve was deceived, Adam was not deceived and transgressed (Romans 5:17). All of this nonsense about women having long antennae and men having short antennae is unbiblical. If women are more easily deceived, then men are more likely to willfully disobey.

Actually the Bible contains several accounts where God bypassed husbands and male guardians and spoke to women directly with messages of vital significance. 

Further Examples:

Samson's mother: The Angel of the Lord entrusted God’s plan for Israel’s deliverance to a woman (Judges 13:1-24)

The Wise Woman of Abel Beth Maacah: The woman was clearly a person of influence, possibly even the leader of the fortified town of Abel Beth Maacah in Israel. As a civil leader in Israel, this women, like Deborah, would also have had a degree of spiritual authority. Through her wise use of authority and peaceful persuasion she rescued her town from being destroyed by Joab, the commander of King David’s army. (2 Samuel 20:14 ff esp v22). {3} 

If God so wishes, He can speak through a donkey! (Numbers 22:28-30)

Even the apostles rejected the message of Mary Magdalene and the women who had seen Jesus after he had risen from the dead. This perhaps demonstrates the male trait of dishonoring women and denying them a voice. 

She (Mary Magdalene) went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept. But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it. (Mark 16:10-11)

Now it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles, but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them. (Luke 24:10-11)

I am not suggesting that we swing to the other end of the spectrum and give women authority over men. What I am saying, is that scripturally, women should not be denied a voice under the pretext that they are "easily deceived". Many men are also deceived as we daily witness in the apostate church! I am not suggesting either that anyone, man or woman, should speak into a vacuum without any safeguards: Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said. (1 Corinthians 14:29).  

Some questions on this subject were put to Jacob Prasch in a very respectful way by Pat Rogers some weeks ago. JP has refused to answer her questions point blank, and he refuses to even enter into a discussion! He dismisses her questions as "feminism coming into the church".  Some red flags should be going up here ladies! Mike Rogers has a blog called Closingstages where all this is recorded in detail.{2} Pat Rogers goes into the technicalities of "covering" and "headship" and asks some very pertinent questions, for instance:

".....Jacob pointed out women can prophesy, again the question remains; who are they prophesying to?"  {4}

Two issues here have been obscured by JP.. the “head” and the “covering”. These are addressed in two separate passages of scripture:

For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Saviour. (Ephesians 5:23) Ephesians 5 speaks specifically about the relationship between wives and husbands, it does not address any practices within the congregation.

1 Corinthians 11:3 reiterates the husband and wife relationship: …..the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. Paul then goes on to address the cultural issue of literal head coverings at Corinth (1 Corinthians 11:1-16). JP has distorted and merged the two meanings of head and covering and has tacked on that all women need a "covering"....  if not a husband, then a father or the male leadership of the church. This is very remiscent of the Shepherding error and it is unscriptural.

In an older teaching below, JP speaks about 1 Corinthians 11 being a local cultural issue Paul was addressing: "Paul wanting silence from women in the congregation. There was a local cultural issue in the churches... around Corinth at that time because the people were bringing the influences of the pagan world with them from the Delphic Oracle into the church.....We see there are prophetesses, we see there were places where women did prophesy. We see the daughters of Philip were prophetesses. Obviously they spoke in the congregation...." 





Judges 4 demonstrates that occasionally women are legitimately called to take on a role that appears to be outside God's stated patriarchal order. When that occurs it is a serious indictment against weak men! (Judges 4:8). 

As M'Kayla Kelly aptly points out: ".....don’t insist we wear the spiritual burqa, as I for one, will not. There is too much at stake." {5}

I have recently published a full exposure of Prasch's Intra-Seal rapture invention. Intra-Seal is Prasch's systematic denial of the gospel and the ministry of the Holy Spirit during the 70th week of Daniel no less!{6} Beware of this man, his teachings are demonstrably a serious perversion of the scriptures in a number of instances.
