Moriel's 2007 article in Afrikaans (excerpt translated into English below) is unequivocal in identifying the Metatron as Jesus. This is not an Acts 17:22-23 apologetic to an "unknown god" as Prasch has recently claimed, rather it is a devious attempt to substitute Jesus Christ with a named mythical Jewish figure. (Titus 1:14).

Prasch was heavily involved with the ecumenical Messianic Jewish Christian organization Jews For Jesus after leaving a cult called "Forever Family". Jews For Jesus gave Prasch financial assistance in order to help him get through seminary, and this seems to have been the point at which his Jewish "adventure" began.

Prasch is (supposedly) against the ecumenical movement, and yet he associates with, and approves of, Anglican ecumenists and false prophets David Noakes and Clifford Hill of Issachar Ministries. {4} Prasch could hardly have been unaware of Jews for Jesus radical ecumenism.

Chris Rosebrough recently debunked Prasch's alleged Jewish paternal ancestry. In the process he discovered that Prasch's bogus certification of his family tree is actually a Nazi document dated the 5th of June 1939, and that Adolf and Wolff Brasch from Leipzig are not listed in Prasch's ancestry. {6}

The fallen angel who still wishes to be like God (and even wanted the Son of God to bow to him!) never tires of encouraging the worship of angels and confusing members of the godhead with them.
ReplyDeleteJewish believers in Hebrews had to be reminded that Christ is higher than angels and certain of the Collosians fell prey to worshipping them. Jewish tradition is full of angels not named in scripture and many cult leaders such as Branham, Ellen White and Charles T. Russell have labelled Christ as Michael. Even some highly respected ministers have stated or implied this :

Ludicrous on many levels and easily refuted by Jude who quotes Michael saying to Satan not "I rebuke thee" but "The LORD rebuke thee".
I guess JP is in "good" company, however the impetus for the evil one promoting such a teaching is because Christ stated clearly that "unless ye believe that I AM, ye will perish in your sins" (John 8:24). Sufficient warning to eschew ANY teaching equating Christ as an angel, unless one is talking about His pre-incarnate appearances as the Angel of the Lord in which He clearly speaks as a divine being (eg. with Moses at the burning bush).

Your point re Macarthur was valid. I don't believe Rosebrough is teachable. This has become a vendetta between all the parties concerned, none of whom are willing to admit error or fault. Chavez had some valid things to say re Doreen Virtue continuing to profit from her questionable vision via her book and now she and Rosebrough have teamed up to discuss her vision further. It all seems self-seeking, ungodly and futile. The cause of Christ suffers with this kind of public squabbling. Chavez is oblivious to the valid criticism re Prasch etc. Rosebrough defends his stand re statues Ugh!
ReplyDeleteI was interested to read in notes by Edersheim on Metatron that one of his titles is "the prince of this world" (!) Also, when a rabbi inferred that Metatron reveals a second Supreme Power, Metatron was whipped to enforce that he is inferior. Does JP use this information to help Jews relate him to Christ? As you say Mike.. they are all in error in one way or another. Chavez does say some valid things about Doreen Virtue ~ his association with Prasch is inexplicable.
ReplyDeleteI have held back on saying too much about Doreen Virtue for the moment.. it may be that these mistakes are due to the immaturity of a young believer. I do think that Rosebrough and the Calvinists should have encouraged her to step back from the public eye. I find it surprising in one respect as they do not have any women in public ministry - so why do they promote Doreen Virtue?
I have received Edersheim's book and I read the part about the Metatron yesterday. A true bible teacher to the Jews might perhaps refer to Metatron, but would make it very clear that Metatron IS NOT JESUS CHRIST.
