ONE CHURCH LEICESTER: COLD READING AND SPIRITUAL MANIPULATION

One Church Together | 8th February 2026, 11.30am

..while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3:13).

One Church's NAR meeting on the 8th of February lasted for almost two hours, complete with songs written by apostates Chris Tomlin, Hillsong, Elevation and Gateway Worship.*

The mantras were followed by an unbiblical appeal to tithe from "Rev" James Prestwich.1 Where do One Church leaders get the presumptuous idea that they can confer such titles upon themselves? Prestwich’s support for the Hinds appears driven by job security, not by biblical principle. Along with the Hinds, he will have to give an account to God for putting stumbling blocks in the way of sound teaching. (Proverbs 15:2; Romans 14:12-13). Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. (James 3:1). Believers should put every teaching to the test. This principle applies especially to those attending dodgy NAR churches. (Acts 17:11). The scriptures say that we should give to the needy, not to greedy church leaders who are building their own kingdoms. (Matthew 6:1-4; 2 Corinthians 9:7). I recommend Caleb Corneloup's series on tithing for those who want to avoid the mind control and receive sound teaching on this subject: Abraham NEVER Tithed From His Income

Susan Hind's alleged prophesies

"Somebody in this room, you're really burdened about money today. Bring that need to him. Say, Lord, you are Jehovah Jireh. You are my provider. Ask him for what you need..
There's someone here, and you're really bound up by what people think of you. The message that's going to come in a minute will be hard for you because you're really worried about what people think about you. Just give that to Jesus. Say, 'Lord, I don't want that anymore. I don't want to be bound anymore. I want to be free to be able to just be myself and not worry what people think.'
There's somebody here, and you're longing for a baby. Just give that to the Lord. Believe for that miracle. Thank you, Jesus.

Thank you, Jesus. Want to just breathe him in. Breathe him in. Just take a [music] deep breath in. Lord, fill me again with your spirit. Jesus said, 'You will have power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses both here in Jerusalem and Judea until the ends of the earth.' We're going to hear a message in a moment about sharing Jesus with others. For that, we [music] need the power of the Holy Spirit. Receive the power right now. Just say, 'Lord, I breathe you in. I breathe you in. I breathe in your power. I need you, Holy Spirit. I need you every moment'." *

Alleged “prophetic words from the Lord” delivered by “pastor” Susan Hind, along with repeated unbiblical instructions to “breathe in the Holy Spirit”, initiated by her and echoed by David Hind, illustrate a dangerous pattern associated with NAR‑style churches. Recent scrutiny of this movement suggests that God's judgement is falling on such practices.

The scandals surrounding Shawn Bolz’s smartphone‑assisted “hot reading”—essentially data‑mining—should have served as a clear warning to others employing similar methods. The evidence indicates that the lesson has not been learned, and cold reading techniques continue to appear in these settings.

Self‑appointed prophets distributing unverifiable revelations leave behind significant spiritual and emotional damage. Spiritual manipulation, framed as divine insight, fractures families, drains finances, and inflicts long‑term psychological harm on individuals and communities.

Biblical prophecy—whether from Jesus, the apostles, or Old Testament prophets—was characterised by specificity. It did not rely on vague generalities such as “someone in the crowd has…”. The safety mechanism surrounding Susan Hind’s pronouncements lies in their vagueness: they cannot be tested, and therefore cannot be held to the scriptural standard of discernment. (1 John 4:1). Such ambiguity generates false hope among those in vulnerable situations. This form of witchcraft and spiritual manipulation is unbiblical and should be rejected.

Only two verses—1 Thessalonians 2:1–2—were read during the entire meeting. An exposition of the passage might reasonably have been expected, yet the sermon consisted almost entirely of anecdotes from comedian Mark Ritchie.

David Hind proceeded to pronounce an impartation and anointing, then pushed an altar call with a bossy, borderline aggressive directive to “come on… come forward… hurry up.”

Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues; (Revelation 18:4).

ONE CHURCH LEICESTER IS INTEGRAL TO THE BETHEL NAR DECEPTION

JESUS SAID - Won't He Go After The One // One Church Podcast, 3rd February 2026 | Podcasts

Following Mike Winger’s exposés of Shawn Bolz, Todd White, and Benny Hinn, the wider pattern of unreliable NAR‑aligned prophetic ministries has drawn massive attention. The resulting fallout has prompted a number of believers to distance themselves from charismatic churches, citing disillusionment with dishonest practices, unbiblical standards and false teaching. Churches shaped by unsound teaching and dishonest practices inevitably generate damage to the body of Christ.

I have written several posts warning about One Church in Leicester (formerly Trinity Life Church), going back to 2007 when David Hind's controversial appointment generated huge problems within the congregation. One Church is part of the charismatic Assemblies of God denomination, whose historical record proves difficult to defend when subjected to serious scrutiny.*

Susan Hind's "sermon" begins with a lie: "I am a pastor". There is no such position as a female pastor biblically. If a church has a female pastor, it is completely outside the will of God.

Susan Hind continues with a story by CS Lewis. Lewis held several convictions that sit well outside biblical orthodoxy, earning him the reputation as a foundational voice of ecumenism. For instance, his Narnia narrative portrays salvation as accessible to those in other religions who remain unaware of Christ. Lewis dismissed "Penal Substitutionary Atonement" and embraced a "Christus Victor" reading that removes divine wrath from the cross entirely. These are substantial doctrinal departures.*

The Hinds have a subtle way of making believers feel perpetually deficient. There’s always another "breakthrough", another layer to “go deeper”. In reality, they replace the role of the Holy Spirit by creating functional dependency, implying that spiritual growth requires their personal intervention. While Christians should desire a deeper walk with God, this pattern is dangerous, particularly when it relies on subjective experience above scripture. The Hinds polished façade of spiritual maturity is only a mask, and their “prayers” are the last thing true believers should seek. A sincere pursuit of God doesn’t require chasing novelty; God leads His people into truth without the manufactured intensity others try to impose. (John 16:13). Scripture calls believers to pray for one another as a mutual practice, not a one‑way channel reserved for so‑called leaders (James 5:16).

Characteristics of NAR churches

Bethel Music: Mind-numbing, unbiblical mantras. Bethel Music serves as a Trojan horse for the NAR, introducing hazardous and unbiblical teachings into churches. Bethel’s own leaders acknowledge that their music is designed to bypass critical thought, creating openness to ideas people would otherwise reject if presented through direct teaching. They openly describe their songs as a strategic vehicle for spreading Bethel Church’s theology and practices into congregations around the world. For many, the music becomes the entry point into the wider New Apostolic Reformation—drawing them into events, conferences, and ultimately the movement’s doctrinal framework. This pathway often leaves individuals and families grappling with deep spiritual confusion and long‑term harm.

False prophecy: David Hind's failed "imminent revival" prophecy on the 1st of May 2022 has failed to come to pass. This is clear evidence that he is a false prophet.

David Hind (1st May 2022): "This is a fulfillment season, an outbreak season."
(Deuteronomy 18:32; Ezekiel 13:13; Jeremiah 23:16; 2 Peter 2:1-3).

Revival: The revival mantra of false prophets collapses under biblical scrutiny. The New Testament prophesies rampant spiritual deception, apostasy, false prophets, lying signs and wonders, birth pains, and ultimately worldwide spiritual deception under the Antichrist. (Revelation 13:14). We should reject those who consistently prophesy "revival" or "awakening". False prophets tickle itching ears and tell people what they want to hear, not what they need to hear. (2 Timothy 4:3).

Platforming false prophets: Over the years the Hinds have platformed a number of false prophets, including Benny Hinn and Mark Stibbe. The latest example is false prophet Simon Braker.

Constant Touting for money: False leaders' constant appeals for money for large building projects are often couched in terms of their "vision". Wolves who constantly tout for money will suck believers dry financially and spiritually, given the chance.

Inflated Titles: David Hind’s self‑designation as an “apostolic leader of leaders”, and Susan Hind’s assumption of the title “pastor” and her claim to be “prophetic” represent claims to authority that lack substantive biblical grounding. Their presumption sits uneasily alongside the cautions in Galatians 6:3, Philippians 2:3, 1 Corinthians 8:2, Proverbs 26:12, and 1 Corinthians 13:4 regarding self‑importance and inflated self‑assessment.

Boasting: The Hinds incessant emphasis on their own accomplishments—presented as evidence of divine activity—functions as a self‑promotional pattern rather than as a substantive ministry. Their reliance on these formulas displaces any careful or responsible exposition of scripture.

Eisegesis: The Hinds appalling record of taking verses out of context and their poor exegesis is unacceptable. Men aspiring to leadership positions within the church are unqualified if they lack a sound understanding of the scriptures. (Titus 1:9, 2:1; 1 Timothy 4:16; 2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Lack of accountability: The Hinds leadership structure is sustained through nepotism and a close circle of associates, creating conditions that largely preclude meaningful accountability. This means that genuine complaints and grievances are likely to be blocked. Grievances at Bethel Church Redding were routinely dismissed under a distorted notion of “honour culture", in which leaders protected one another and left complainants without meaningful recourse. Reports indicate multiple individuals raised serious concerns at Bethel, and the documented cases fall far short of the large-scale claims often circulated.

Ecumenism: False unity at the expense of sound doctrine. There is solid evidence that David Hind is ecumenical.

One Church ticks all the boxes for the NAR deception. One of their eight trustees is Philip Anthony John, who is also a trustee of NAR false Prophet Simon Baker's Legacy International Ministries.1  Braker is a close associate of false prophet Emma Stark, leader of Global Prophetic Alliance. This is a direct confirmation of One Church's close association and involvement with the NAR cult and is a huge red flag.

,

Matthew Corbitt: "The Assemblies of God’s structural flaws have fueled decades of instability, moral failure, and shallow discipleship. Rooted in revivalistic traditions, the movement often prioritizes emotional highs over lasting biblical governance. Scripture calls for a congregational presbyterian model—plurality of qualified local elders, shared authority, and deep accountability—to safeguard the church and foster true maturity. Without this reform, the AOG and broader Pentecostalism itself will continue its cycle of rise-and-collapse, forfeiting the stability and fruitfulness Christ intended."2

ONE CHURCH LEICESTER: THE CHARADE CONTINUES!

VISION SUNDAY - One Church Together | 2nd November 2025, 11.30am

This year (2025/6), the agenda for "Vision Sunday" at ONE Church was pretty much along the same lines as previous years, with the usual puff piece* and self-congratulatory anecdotes. The whole performance was a marathon of mind control and mantras lasting almost two hours. The ultimate goal was, of course, to persuade members to part with their money. Hind: "The father is devoted to you ..be a giver ..give till it hurts ..give it all ..every need will be provided for". These kinds of manipulative statements are linked to the false prosperity gospel and the unbiblical doctrine of tithes and offerings. In the New Testament, giving was always to the poor; it was never under compulsion. (2 Corinthians 9:7; cf. Acts 11:20-30; Romans 12:13,15,25-27; 1 Corinthians 16:1-3; 2 Corinthians 8:1-4,9:1-2 etc). State-of-the-art buildings and land acquisition were the very last things on the apostles' agenda.

The songs at ONE Church originate mostly from NAR Churches, including Bethel Church, Redding. Bethel is widely condemned as heretical, and their music is known as the gateway drug to dangerous NAR theology and the false prosperity gospel. Bill Johnson is quoted as saying, “Music bypasses all of the intellectual barriers, and when the anointing of God is on a song, people will begin to believe things they wouldn’t believe through teaching.” ONE Church offers performance in the guise of worship; their stage might even be from the set of Bethel Redding. Like many deceptions, ONE Church promotes a blend of truth and error which is a poor counterfeit of the real thing. (John 4:23).

Holly Pivec: "It’s not just about sermons anymore—sometimes it’s the soundtrack that shifts theology. Bethel Music isn’t just popular; it’s a vehicle for ideas that many churches don’t even realize they’re absorbing. The influence of the New Apostolic Reformation is often subtle… until it isn’t."2

The fact that David Hind refers to himself as an "apostolic leader of leaders" is disgustingly vainglorious, and yet this is precisely the label he claims for himself. Whatever happened to humility?  (Galatians 6:3, Philippians 2:3; 1 Corinthians 8:2; Proverbs 26:12; 1 Corinthians 13:4).

According to Hind, "God told them" to demolish the building next door at 12 Frog Island. Hind has been identified as a false prophet due to his previous unreliable attempts at playing the "God told me" card. This tactic is very prevalent within AoG and hypercharismatic churches. Conveniently for Hind, no one can actually put a nebulous "word from the Lord"  to the test. (1 John 4:1). I did not send the prophets, yet they ran; I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied. (Jeremiah 23:21 cf. Galatians 6:7).

Hind quoted from Revelation 3, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. (Revelation 3:20 cf. Revelation 2:7). The book of Revelation is directed to the churches; it is not directed to those outside the church. Ironically, the warning to Laodicea is particularly relevant to ONE Church as well as many others. Hind and his team should take this warning on board and repent while they still have time.

To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Originator of God’s creation.
I know your deeds; you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were one or the other! So because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to vomit you out of My mouth!
You say, ‘I am rich; I have grown wealthy and need nothing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, white garments so that you may be clothed and your shameful nakedness not exposed, and salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. Those I love I rebuke and discipline. Therefore be earnest and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me. To the one who overcomes, I will grant the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 3:14-22)
.

Some further observations..

The number of off-site campuses at ONE Church is now reduced to four from seven in 2014. The megachurch multi-site model has a terrible reputation, particularly in the US, where many abusers have been exposed. This particular model lends itself to, and is rife with, abuse of all kinds, notably spiritual, financial and sexual abuse. This situation stems largely from nepotism and/or ineffective board members who have no will to oppose authoritarian leaders. I recommend that readers of this post refer to the horror stories recorded by the following channel:(115) Not By Sight News - YouTube

I also notice that Brian Niblock is no longer on the Board of Trustees. I hope he will now have time to consider the many ungodly actions he has been party to over the years at TLC/ONE Church since Hind was railroaded in, and that he will repent.

ONE Church is part of 'United Network' of Churches in Leicestershire.

"One Church is part of 'United Network' of churches in Leicestershire. We love walking in unity with other local churches, and believe Jesus only has 'ONE CHURCH' in this county. Together we run leaders breakfasts, events for kids, youth and young adults, and prayer gatherings."

I was unsuccessful in my attempt to ascertain the churches ONE Church partners with in Leicestershire and whether they are ecumenical. Hind has a historic connection with Churches Together, which is ecumenical. Furthermore, J. John, who is ecumenical, spoke at ONE Church on the 28th of January 2024.

*A puff piece is a type of article or segment that offers exaggerated praise for someone or something, often ignoring critical viewpoints. It is commonly used in journalism to promote celebrities, books, or events without providing insightful commentary. Essentially, a puff piece serves to flatter or promote rather than inform critically.

ONE CHURCH DAVID HIND: HIGHLY PROBLEMATIC

THE LIFE YOU ARE CREATED TO LIVE | David Hind (20th July 2025)

Open Heaven?

Above: Hind is regurgitating a false teaching that has been circulating within NAR circles for years by false prophets and teachers such as Paul Cain, Bill Johnson, Bob Jones, Todd Bentley, Mike Bickle, Rick Joyner, Emma Stark, and Benny Hinn. Those who teach it often refer to "the seer anointing". They cite the experiences of Jacob, Moses, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Paul, and John etc. These examples are rare pivotal moments in the bible and are not normative experiences. From this false teaching come stories of divine or angelic visitations and outrageous, unverifiable prophesies. Like many false teachings, the "open heaven anointing" is based partly on truth, but the scriptures are warped to an extent that distorts the meaning and gives narcissist wannabes a delusional sense of their own importance as prophets or seers.

And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17).

After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne.. (Revelation 4:1-2).

The epistles are the manual for believers to follow. We have instructions for holy living and are required to trust God and to humbly follow him. Significantly, the miracles in the above passages were not coveted or sought by the people involved. Rather, they were initiated by God Himself and are powerful moments in redemptive history. Taking verses out of their original context and using them as a blueprint for how we should hear from God when the circumstances of the story are completely different is extremely problematic.

The noun δύναμις > power (Acts 1:8). Dynamite was the interpretation frequently used by false teacher Reinhard Bonnke. δύναμις comes from the English dynamic or dynamite. However, as with many faith healers with tall stories and claims of mass "miracles", Bonnke was exposed as a fake in a HBO video in 2011: A Question of Miracles (Faith Healing) Part 1

Strong's: "From dunamai: force (literally or figuratively); specially, miraculous power (usually by implication, a miracle itself) -- ability, abundance, meaning, might(-ily, -y, -y deed), (worker of) miracle(-s), power, strength, violence, mighty (wonderful) work."1

Hind's manic OTT style, his revisionist history of TLC/One Church, his false prophecies, exaggerations, out-of-context teaching, and ethical compromises are highly dubious on many levels.

Hind puts the Bible at the top of his list as a way of hearing God's voice. However, his own careless handling of scripture and his inaptitude fall woefully short of the biblical standard required of a pastor. (James 3:1). Hind's "confident assertions" are based on myth and mere speculation. (1 Timothy 1:3-7).

Hind demonstrates the folly and presumption of using scripture to validate ungodly decisions. He quotes Genesis 12:1-2 in order to justify his move to Leicester in 2007 as God's will. In fact, Hind was allegedly "invited" to come to Leicester by Brian Niblock, who failed to support the man whom he had trained for years as his successor, and arguably the man who was called to lead TLC. If Niblock had done the right thing, the whole church would have supported him. Niblock's weakness and capitulation to the three elders at that time was a pivotal moment in the life of TLC! Almost as soon as Hind arrived at TLC, there was a discernible drop in biblical standards. After witnessing Hind's ungodly style of leadership, it was not long before a number of attendees, including myself, began to have grave concerns about his competence as a pastor. This woeful beginning has progressed into a long list of unethical decisions and damnable statements ethusiastically spewed by Hind during his tenure at TLC/One Church.

Further examples..

In 2013, God allegedly spoke to "them" to become a multisite church: "Enlarge the place of your tent.." (Isaiah 54:2). As far as I am aware, no one questioned the fact that this alleged prophecy does not fit the New Testament autonomous leadership model of church leadership.

In 2021, Hind claims that he was given a "prophetic word" from Habakuk 2:1. "The Lord wants you to climb up". From this alleged "prophetic word" came the union of TLC and All Nations Church Leicester (ANCL), which was a "shipwreck".  When churches host false prophets like Emma Stark and Heidi Baker and are rabid NAR proponents, we are to mark and avoid them, not join with them! The temptation of acquiring the building on Frog Island was no doubt a significant factor in their decision to unite with ANCL.

Hind's failed "imminent revival" prophecy of 2022 is clear evidence that he is a false prophet.
David Hind (1st May 2022): "This is a fulfillment season, an outbreak season."2
(Deuteronomy 18:32; Ezekiel 13:13; Jeremiah 23:16; 2 Peter 2:1-3).

Hind frequently insists that One Church is not about ego or about him personally.

Hind: "Sometimes we can get this picture, this green room culture of the mighty man or woman of God, separate from the people coming in. I don't want to disappoint you, but that ain't us because without the grace of God, I'm done."

Methinks Hind protests too often and too much! Authentic godly leaders do not need to speak such things or repeat them at every opportunity. If Hind is as humble as he claims, then he would not refer to himself as "an apostolic leader of leaders". Only a narcissist would adopt such a title. A true man of God, confident in his calling, would not find this kind of repetition necessary. The constant reminders of his so-called "calling" are a tactic to convince others and possibly even himself that he is authentic.

Dr Jesse Collins: "Often religious leaders use Bible scriptures or scripture-like soundings, or they'll say they had a vision of something, and this vision told them X, and they'll keep repeating these lines over and over again..  a repetition of mantras is a common, well-known worldwide control mechanism for people.."3

The standards required for testing spiritual gifts have been ignored by NAR false prophets, and the resulting abuse and damage to believers is glaringly obvious. The latest abominable "prophecy" from  Mike Bickle's sister, Lisa Bickle Stribling, is one of the most shocking examples I have seen: Survivors of Mike Bickle’s Alleged Sex Abuse Condemn His Sister’s Attempt to Discredit Them

Believers are required to test everything and not just accept any "word" allegedly from God. (1 John 4:1). If a prophecy fails, then that man or woman is to be marked and avoided!  (Romans 16:17-18). Just because Benny Hinn, Todd Bentley, Shawn (smartphone) Bolz, Mike Bickle, and David Hind (fill in the blank) claim to have received a word from God, we should not automatically believe them; in fact, quite the reverse, since these men are proven false prophets.

Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind.. (Colossians 2:18).

We are in very dangerous territory when we imagine that God is communicating something to us that cannot be validated by the scriptures or fails to come to pass. Every book in the New Testament, apart from Philemon, warns about false prophets and teachers. Paul anticipated this problem within the church. I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to admonish every one with tears. (Acts 20:29-30).

ONE CHURCH LEICESTER SPIRITUAL MANIPULATION AND STRANGE FIRE

Deep (A Message For The House) // One Church Podcast, 7th July 2025 | Podcasts

This podcast was a typical NAR-style motivational speech laced with false teaching.

David Hind's appeal for people to support to One Church, no matter what, is very dangerous and is typical of false teachers. Hind asks people to give their all, their time, their finances, and their energy, not to God, but to the so-called "vision" of One Church! Hind's failed "imminent revival" prophecy of 2022 is clear evidence that he is a false prophet.

David Hind (1st May 2022): "This is a fulfillment season, an outbreak season."1

Hind: "A prophetic word recently to us said this 'there will be times in the coming move of God when relatively unknown people will get up and preach and the fire of God is going to fall and the power of God will break out miracles and people will say 'who is that person'.. We are called to deep expectation. Jonathan (Conrathe) said recently.. 'One Church will see waves of salvation, waves of conviction, waves of miracles, waves of prodigals..' and we are expectant." The hallmark of many false teachers is hype and expectations rooted in the flesh. The Christian hope or expectation is based on the cross, not in signs and miracles. (Luke 11:29). ..waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.. (Titus 2:13 cf. 2 Peter 3:12-13; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 John 3:2-3).

When believers are persuaded that the "vision" of a church leader is the same as following the will of God for their lives, it is a huge red flag and opens up potential for spiritual abuse. This typically involves pleas for extreme sacrificial giving. Phrases like "He is always worth your best", "We get one life, please play your part""deep obedience", and "deep expectation" are spiritual manipulation tactics based on guilt. Hard lessons have been learned from the fall of IHOP, Daystar, Hillsong, Shawn (smartphone) Bolz, Benny Hinn, Todd White, Gateway Church (Robert Morris), etc. Many lives are in ruins because of false teachers who demanded that their followers "give their all" to their particular "prophetic" vision.

The careless way Hind handles the scriptures is a clear indication of where he stands spiritually. Words are cheap; it is easy to say "We love God". However, Jesus says: If you love me, obey my commandments. (John 14:15 cf. John 15:10; Matthew 7:21; Luke 6:46;1 John 2:2-3,1 John 3:22-24; 1 John 5:3; 2 John 1:6).

You shall be careful therefore to do as the LORD your God has commanded you. You shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. (Deuteronomy 5:32 cf. Deuteronomy 28:14; Joshua 1:7; Proverbs 4:27; 2 Kings 22:2; Isaiah 30:21).

The Israelites' idolatry and carelessness are examples for the church. (1 Corinthians 10:1-6). But they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked in their own counsels and the stubbornness of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward. (Jeremiah 7:4 cf. Isaiah 65:2; Ezekiel 20:8; Hosea 4:16, etc.). Similarly, many church leaders are careless about how they interpret the scriptures; they do not rightly divide the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15).

Go deeper.. breathe in the Spirit!

If a believer sincerely wants to "go deeper" with God, then they should ask! (Matthew 7:7 cf. Philippians 4:6; Ephesians 6:18). Hind: "Why don't we just pause right now and breathe Him in. Just take a breath, just breathe His presence in right now.."  When teachers add "breathing in God" to prayer and petition, they go beyond what is written and are entering into the dangerous territory of eastern mysticism and occult New Age practices. (1 Corinthians 4:6). This is the New Testament equivalent of offering "strange (unholy, unacceptable, unauthorized) fire" before the Lord and is contrary to His explicit Word. (Leviticus 10:1-2; Numbers 26:61). Believers receive the Holy Spirit by faith when they are converted. (Ephesians 1:13; Romans 10:25). Hind talks about "pressing forward", but these kinds of occult practices take believers away from the Lord. We might echo Jeremiah in saying these things are unbiblical; they take us backward and not forward.

But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23-34).

Hind: "Our story as a church is a story of grace and miracles.."  The story of TLC/One Church since Hind's arrival in 2007 is a story of double standards and flouting God's word. Many things have happened that are against God's will, ranging from lottery funding, Hind's involvement in ecumenical Churches Together, the ungodly antics of Adam Simmonds, nepotism, 6 (666) Degrees Coffee House, tithing, egalitarianism, platforming NAR false teachers and prophets, and on and on.No God fearing church leader would dare to describe himself as an "apostolic leader of leaders".

..having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. (2 Timothy 3:5 cf. Matthew 7:15; 1 Timothy 4:7; 2 Timothy 2:16,23; Ephesians 4:14).

Unity must be grounded in the truth..

Bible Hub: "Unity in truth, not in deceit, is a biblical mandate that calls believers to align themselves with the truth of God's Word while rejecting falsehood. This unity is characterized by a shared commitment to the Gospel, a rejection of deceitful teachings, and a love that binds the community of faith together. Through this, the church reflects the unity and truth of the Triune God, serving as a witness to the world."3

Mark and avoid false teachers..

I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. (Romans 16:17-18).

ONE CHURCH LEICESTER BREAKTHROUGH: JONATHAN CONRATHE

One Church Together | 18th May 2025, 11.30am

Breakthrough is an overused NAR buzzword exploited in hyper-charismatic circles. The believer who is having a problem with sin, relationships, finance, health, poor spiritual experience, etc., is a prime candidate for "breakthrough".  Whatever the problem, according to the NAR crowd, God has decided that it is a year or season of "breakthrough." There is not much attention given to difficult circumstances that God allows with the aim of bringing individual believers to maturity. (Hebrews 12:7; 2 Timothy 4:5). Things like endurance, perseverance, hardship, and God's discipline are definitely not on trend in the delusory world of the NAR. Breakthrough is also applied ad nauseam to what is anticipated as a massive end-time revival, aka "the billion soul harvest", originally prophesied by false prophet Bob Jones in 1975.1 Even though Jones was removed from ministry and his prophecy has been proven false, the fallacy of end-time revival continues to evolve amongst NAR false teachers. Significantly, neither Jesus nor Paul anticipated a worldwide revival. (Matthew 7:14, 24:10-14; Luke 18:8; 1 Timothy 4:1-2; 2 Timothy 3:1,13,3:2-5).

Jonathan Conrathe (Mission 24) hosts his own series of 'TBN Presents' on the apostate TV network TBNUK.2  Conrathe tells a lot of tall stories about his ministry abroad and talks about massive campaigns and thousands being saved, amazing miracles, etc. He even claims that in some instances, everyone was healed. We have no way of verifying these claims. (1 John 4:1). The NAR obsession with miraculous signs and wonders at the expense of sound biblical teaching has disastrous consequences for individual believers and congregations. Numerous sources indicate that many claims associated with this movement are either exaggerated or fabricated. Haven't we heard exactly the same kinds of tall stories from Benny Hinn, Todd White, Emma Stark, Kathryn Krick, and many other exposed false prophets? These charlatans never fail to play the "God told me" card and the "God gave me a vision" card. (Matthew 7:22-23). Conrathe is simply regurgitating the false revival narrative that David Hind has repeated in his echo chamber of delusion for years. Hind, who claims to be an "apostolic leader of leaders", prophesied imminent revival in 2022, but we are still waiting! Conrathe: "This is Leicester's time, this is One Church's time. God is going to do an amazing thing amongst you and through you.. This is a crossover time in the Spirit for the One Church.. blah blah"

After praising false "Apostle" Reinhard Bonnke3 and speaking in tongues without an interpretation, Conrathe launched into a lengthy endorsement of false NAR leader Carlos Annacondia, the figurehead of charismatic "revival" in Argentina. In reality, Annacondia has been spreading false teaching for years.

Apologetics Coordination Team: "This paper is an update of events happening in Singapore and Asia as we also noted the many problems brought about by those seeking to promote 'heresies' and misguided truths into unsuspecting Asia. Many known 'charismatic' speakers such as Ed Silvoso, Carlos Annacondia, Peter Wagner, Sergio Scataglini and others have been invited by these 'churches' to influence even the main stream churches with many unbiblical teachings and new-age teachings concerning healings, 'miracle gold teeth filling', 'imparted 100% Holiness', 'Territorial spirits', 'Prayer Walking', demons in headaches that need casting out, and many more such unsound teachings. They have even used the Bible Study Small Groups and have renamed them 'cell groups' to further their materials which they print and sell to unsuspecting local churches and bookshops. They sell, 'anointing oil claiming magical powers', promote 'slain in the spirit' which is unbiblical and cultish, and practice 'false teachings and taking the Bible verses out-of-context'. Even local pastors have fallen for the con and some have now picked up 'slaying' as their normal service instead of sound preaching of God's Word. They have followed the paths of false prophets and false teachers..
Faith Community Baptist Church (FCBC) who is the main church distributing cell church materials to the world has a web site which has claimed gold teeth miracles, visions, dreams, etc. in their organization. FCBC may be linked to Lighthouse and involved with Third Wave luminaries like C. Peter Wagner, Jack Deere, Paul Yonggi Cho, Ed Silvoso, and Carlos Annacondia. Annacondia recently visited Singapore and is supported by many charismatic churches including Third Wave churches which have been influenced and penetrated by these groups. When Rodney Howard-Browne and Robert Schuller visited Singapore many pastors, including those from FCBC went to their meetings..
The leaders who visit Singapore often leave to visit other Asian countries, boasting of visiting churches in Singapore and sharing many ridiculous claims of healings, miracles, etc. There is a great struggle in Singapore. Pray for us and for people who love the LORD that they will expose these fakes and bring them to answ
er for 'deceiving the people'. We see this as the only viable step to counter the inflooding of materials that promote devilish teachings."4

DAVID HIND ONE CHURCH LEICESTER: PROPHETIC RELEASE?

 One Church Together | 2nd February 2025, 11.30am

David Hind, who claims to be an "apostolic leader of leaders", received yet another problematic "prophetic word" at One Church this Sunday.

Hind: "I just feel this verse just came alive in me just as we have been worshipping.. It's from the NIV UK, Job 36:16 and it says this.. He is wooing you.. Now we are going to release something prophetic over you.."

He is wooing you from the jaws of distress to a spacious place free from restriction, to the comfort of your table laden with choice food. (NIV)

What the NIV translation does not bring out is that literally and in context, this verse says what God would have done for Job had he repented as he should have done.

Yea, he would have led thee away out of distress into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which is set on thy table should be full of fatness. (English Revised Version).

Clarke: "Even so would he have removed thee - If thou hadst turned to, obeyed, and served him, thy present state would have been widely different from what it is."1

Barnes: "Even so would he have removed thee - That is, if you had been patient and resigned, and if you had gone to him with a broken heart. Having stated the 'principles' in regard to affliction which he held to be indisputable, and having affirmed that God was ever ready to relieve the sufferer if he would apply to him with a proper spirit, it was natural to infer from this that the reason why Job "continued" to suffer was, that he did not manifest a proper spirit in his trials. Had he done this, Elihu says, the hand of God would have been long since withdrawn, and his afflictions would have been removed."2

Hind continues... "If you feel there is any restrictions in your life and I am going to ask you to do something brave just here. If you are online you might want to just stand up in your living room or go towards the television..  If there is restriction in your life. Perhaps you have been held back from promotion or a breakthrough in your family or even perhaps marriage or a sickness or something that has restricted you we are going to speak this prophetically over you. So if you are facing restrictions.. I want you to fill the front. If you have any restriction in your life and something resonates come quickly right to the front..   Everyone in the room.. we are going to release a shout and receive an encounter with the Spirit.. speak over yourselves.. say 'God wants to give me a specious place'...   Find that verse in the bible,, underline it, prophecy it over your life.." "prophecy to yourselves..."

This is absolutely disgusting! Where do the scriptures ever instruct us to to prophecy to ourselves? This theatre went on for around fifteen minutes starting at around the 29:00 mark. Hind repeats the word "restriction" twenty times! I don't believe this "prophetic word" came to Hind spontaneously during the service; in my view, it was an engineered intervention.

During Hind's spiritual manipulation, the band sang the song 'Break Every Chain' which was written by Will Reagan of Jesus Culture (Bethel Church Redding). This mantra-style song involves decreeing and declaring by repeating the same lyrics "There is power in the name of Jesus.. to break every chain.." over and over again. This kind of "worship" has been described as mind control. Glenn's story:“I saw what I was doing as a band member as not leading people in worship, but participating in ‘conjuring’ the Holy Spirit to ‘come down’. The Holy Spirit being defined as the euphoric feeling that the droning music creates.“3 The scriptures instruct believers to present prayers and petitions with thanksgiving not to decree and declare:  ..do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6 cf. Ephesians 6:18; Matthew 6:7-15; James 5:13-14).

What Hind demonstrates is classic NAR rhetoric which is very dangerous. The problem with this kind of "word" is that many will wait indefinitely for their elusive "breakthrough". This skewed idea of "faith" puts confidence in false promises of "breakthrough" and is likely to culminate in either discouragement or deconstruction.

Hind personifies a chronic problem common within charismatic/Pentecostal/NAR circles. Not only is Hind an incompetent teacher with superficial bible knowledge (2 Timothy 2:15), he is also engaging in spiritual abuse. Elihu's words to Job in Job 36 were specifically directed to Job in his distress i.e. they applied to him personally. Personal words to individuals taken from the Old Testament narratives do not apply to Christians in their present circumstances.

The scriptures do not hold back in denouncing false prophets:

These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved. For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.” (2 Peter 2:17-22).

Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you, filling you with vain hopes. They speak visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD. (Jeremiah 23:16).

Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Turn away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. (Romans 16:17-18).

ONE CHURCH LEICESTER: DAVID HIND "LEADER OF LEADERS"

"David and Susan Hind are the Senior Leaders of One Church.. David is a dynamic leader of leaders and leads with an apostolic gifting. A man of faith and passion for people, he is committed to seeing Leicestershire and beyond transformed by the gospel of Jesus."1

Can you imagine any of the real apostles talking like this? (Jeremiah 45:5; 3 John 1:9). This kind of worldly rhetoric would have appalled the real apostles and the early church. The only "Senior Pastor" in the church is Jesus Christ! The express instruction of Jesus was that no one within the body of Christ should seek honorific titles.

But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth your father, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Christ. The greatest among you shall be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:8-12).

Berean Study Bible: "The term 'Rabbi' originates from the Hebrew word 'רַבִּי' (rabbi), meaning 'my master' or 'my teacher.' In the historical context of first-century Judaism, being called 'Rabbi' was a title of honor and authority, signifying a person who was a learned teacher of the Law. Jesus, in this passage, is addressing His disciples and the crowds, cautioning them against seeking titles that elevate them above others. This admonition is a call to humility, reminding believers that their worth and identity are not found in titles or human accolades but in their relationship with God. The emphasis here is on the equality and unity of believers, who are all learners under the ultimate Teacher."2

When people give themselves self-exalting honorific titles of distinction such as Senior Leader, Apostle, Prophet, Senior Prophet, Bishop, Pastor etc. they honour themselves, they do not honour our Lord Jesus Christ. Leaders who are truly Christlike shun anything that glorifies self and detracts from the glory due to God alone. The pattern of leadership practiced throughout the Book of Acts is simply that Paul and Barnabas “appointed elders for them in every church.” (Acts 14:23). The local church in the New Testament consisted of a plurality of male elders. (Acts 14:23,20:28; Philippians 1:1; Hebrews 13:17). The New Testament knows nothing about senior pastors, women pastors, or multi-site churches where one man has the presumption to claim overall leadership.

The brothers, both the apostles and the elders (Acts 15:23).

This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. (1 Corinthians 4:1).

I have been a fool! You forced me to it, for I ought to have been commended by you. For I was not at all inferior to these super-apostles, even though I am nothing. (2 Corinthians 12:11).

To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.. (Ephesians 3:8).

We sent Timothy, our brother and fellow worker for God in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith.. (1 Thessalonians 3:2).

The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. (1 Timothy 15-16).

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.. (James 1:1).

So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder.. (1 Peter 5:1).

And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, (2 Peter 3:15).

Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James.. (Jude 1:1).

JP Moreland: "The emergence of the role of senior pastor in the local church is one of the factors that has most significantly undermined the development of healthy churches."3

Frank A Viola: "In keeping with our Lord's command, biblical elders did not permit themselves to be addressed by honorific titles such as "Pastor Bill," "Elder Tom," "Bishop Jake," or "Reverend Sam" (Matthew 23:7-12). Such titles naturally elevate church leaders to a plane above the other brethren in the assembly. Thus, congregations and clergy alike are responsible for creating the current 'Christian guruism' that is rampant in the church today wherein religious leaders are recast into spiritual celebrities and lauded with fan club status. By contrast, New Testament leaders were viewed as ordinary brethren and were just as approachable and accessible to the saints as any other believer in the church."3

If those who like to give themselves titles were to see God's glory, they would shrivel up in shame. (Job 42:5-6; Isaiah 6:5;  Matthew 17:6; Luke 5:8; Revelation 1:17; Ezekiel 1:28; Daniel 10:8-9).

The Gospel Coalition: "I mourn for the church because we seem to display so many of the characteristics that Jesus said, 'Not so among you' (Mark 10:43). Shameful arrogance and haughtiness have reached epidemic proportions among church leaders.. A direct implication of Jesus' servant stance was His obliteration of titles.. We have refused to take Jesus' words at face value. Jesus' obvious intent was to remove any basis for 'lording it over' others by dispensing with titles that give people an elevated place in the 'pecking order.' We all occupy the same level ground at the foot of the one Teacher, Jesus Christ. We are not 'great ones' or 'lords'.. Finally, do not accept the designation 'master' or 'leader.' No human can usurp the position of the head of the body, Christ. Our tendency seems always toward idolatry, to make someone larger than life. Never forget: Jesus alone is Lord.."3

The Gospel Coalition: "Unbiblical leadership structures can wreak havoc on the people of God and bring reproach on the name of Jesus Christ. A failure to honor the clear teaching of Scripture on how a church should be governed is a recipe for disaster. .. (problems) can be traced back to a singular, authoritarian pastor who largely avoided meaningful accountability.. In most instances, however, the deacons (or elders) exist only to rubber-stamp his decisions..4

The ultimate rejection of false apostles and prophets

And on that day, declares the Lord of hosts, I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, so that they shall be remembered no more. And also I will remove from the land the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness. And if anyone again prophesies, his father and mother who bore him will say to him, ‘You shall not live, for you speak lies in the name of the Lord.’ And his father and mother who bore him shall pierce him through when he prophesies.“On that day every prophet will be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies. He will not put on a hairy cloak in order to deceive, but he will say, ‘I am no prophet, I am a worker of the soil, for a man sold me in my youth.’And if one asks him, ‘What are these wounds on your back?’ he will say, ‘The wounds I received in the house of my friends.’ (Zechariah 13:2-6 cf. Isaiah 27:12).

"that day" (בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא) This phrase identifies the eschatological "Day of the Lord" when God will act to completely obliterate (הִכְרַתִּ֤י) the idols from the land. Note that false prophets are identified with "a spirit of uncleanness". No unclean thing will enter the millennium and nothing will defile during that period. Those who glibly claim "God told me" in the present age will face the wrath of God and blackest darkness is reserved for them. (Jude 1:12-13). This passage should instill the fear of God in the Hinds and others who falsely claim to receive "prophetic words" that do not come to pass. (Proverbs 9:10). When someone claims "God told me" they should be very sure that God has actually spoken to them!

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. (2 Peter 2:1 cf. Acts 20:29-30; 1 John 4:1; 1 Timothy 4:1-2; 2 Timothy 4:3-4; Romans 16:17-18).

And the LORD said to me: “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds. (Jeremiah 14:14).

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Because you have uttered falsehood and seen lying visions, therefore behold, I am against you, declares the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 13:8).

ONE CHURCH LEICESTER: DAVID HIND IS NOT AN APOSTLE! THE EVIDENCE

Many discernment ministries have recently commented that we are in "a season of exposure" and that God is judging the church at the present time. A few of the most well-known "ministries" to have been exposed recently are Benny Hinn, Robert Morris/Gateway Church, Brian Houston/ Hillsong, Mike Bickle/IHOP, David Platt/McLean Bible Church, Chris Reed/MorningStar, and, of course, Joni Lamb/Daystar. Entitled NAR leaders shamelessly flaunt opulent lifestyles at the expense of their much less affluent followers. (Isaiah 56:11). One of the most shocking examples I have seen is Joni Lamb's $100,000 honeymoon! These wolves increase while Jesus decreases; they dare to abuse their positions in the name of the Lord to their own destruction. He must increase, but I must decrease. (John 3:30 cf. 2 Peter 2:1).

The faulty megachurch model that the Hinds have sought to emulate at One Church is beginning to crumble. At last, many believers are waking up and rejecting unqualified leaders who promote themselves and lord it over the flock. (1 Peter 5:3; Matthew 20:25-28; Ezekiel 34:2-4). My prayer is that the growth of biblical assemblies based on the New Testament model of autonomous congregations, the truth of the scriptures, and faithful teachers will continue to grow.

Jesus' rejection of those he never knew, is specifically directed against those who make all kinds of claims regarding prophecy and signs and wonders. These claims are made predominantly by the false prophets of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) within the Charismatic/Pentecostal movement.  On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ (Matthew 7:22-23). Jesus Himself warned about seeking signs. (Matthew 12:39,16:4,24:24 cf. Deuteronomy 13:1-2). Lying signs will be the deception of the Antichrist. (2 Thessalonians 2:9; Revelation 13:13-14,19:20,16:14). That is not to say that Jesus does not perform miracles among believers, but there is a caution to test the spirits. (1 John 4:1). The showmanship of Benny Hinn, one of the false teachers endorsed by the Hinds, is a graphic example of lying signs.

In line with their unbiblical egalitarian views, David and Susan Hind describe themselves as "Senior Leaders" and "joint pastors" of One Church. On their website, Susan Hind is described as "a bible teacher carrying a prophetic gifting" while David Hind is described as "a dynamic leader of leaders with an apostolic gifting".These narcissistic claims should ring alarm bells. The real apostles never boasted in such ways. (Ephesians 3:8; Acts 20:24; James 1:1; Jude 1:1). When someone claims to have an "apostolic/prophetic gifting" it is an underhand way of claiming that they are an "apostle" or a "prophet".* The Hinds have strong links with the NAR as demonstrated by their association with false "prophet" Simon Braker. Make no mistake, if you attend One Church you are attending an NAR church and are at risk of spiritual deception.
*"Apostolic" & Prior "Prophetic" Ministries 😳

The NAR is a dominionist movement that asserts God's restoration of the "lost offices of church governance, specifically the offices of Prophet and Apostle". These "lost offices" were invented by false teacher C Peter Wagner in the 1990s. (Proverbs 30:6). Before Wagner, these "offices" did not exist within the church for almost 2000 years. Holly Pivec: "NAR apostles and prophets claim to possess much greater authority than pastors and elders. This is because pastors and elders must submit to the apostles and prophets since they are divinely authorized spokespersons for God. Also, pastors and elders govern within a single church. But NAR apostles and prophets may govern multiple churches at once. And, in many cases, the authority of these apostles and prophets extends beyond churches to workplaces, cities, and nations. Thus, NAR prophets and apostles claim to wield extraordinary authority with insufficient accountability. These claims have opened doors to abusive leadership and the promotion of harmful and aberrant teachings that have caused spiritual harm to countless individuals. They’ve brought division and disunity to many families and churches."2

David Hind is NOT an apostle - the evidence

The Church is built on the original foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the cornerstone (Ephesians 2:202 Corinthians 3:11).

Following the betrayal and death of Judas Iscariot, the decision to select his replacement was based on Psalm 109:8: Let another take his office.

So one of the men who have accompanied us during all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us—one of these men must become with us a witness to his resurrection. (Acts 1:21-22).

These verses set out the essential criteria for apostleship: An apostle must be a disciple of Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry, and he must be an eyewitness of Jesus' resurrection. The twelve apostles were commissioned directly by Jesus. The selection of Judas' replacement was achieved by praying and casting lots. (Acts 1:21-26).  And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.” And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles. (Acts 1:24-26).

Paul was the last apostle chosen directly by Jesus Christ as one "untimely born".

Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. (1 Corinthians 15:7-8).

No man alive today fulfills the Acts 1:21-22 criteria of an apostle.

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).

David and Susan Hind are NOT prophets - the evidence

The criteria for determining a true prophet is that their prophecies come to pass. (Deuteronomy 18:21-22). This may seem obvious, but many NAR "prophets" prophecy things that blatantly do not come to pass. Even if their prophecies do come to pass, but they encourage the worship of other gods these "prophets" should be rejected. God commanded that false prophets must be to be put to death in the Old Testament. (Deuteronomy 13:1-3,18:20 cf. Matthew 24:24; 2 Peter 2:1-3).

NAR "prophets" are very good at raising false hopes and use buzzwords such as "breakthrough" "outpouring", "prophetic" and "revival". Their prophecies are in direct contradiction to explicit New Testament warnings of unprecedented end-time wickedness and apostasy. (Matthew 24:12; 2 Timothy 3:1,4:1-3; 2 Peter 3:3; Jude 1:18; 1 John 2:18). NAR leaders play the "God told me" card which automatically trumps the scriptures leaving believers who have doubts in a confused and vulnerable position.

Both David and Susan Hind have prophecied revival in Leicester for some years. In a short video released on the 30th June 2020 "Pray for Change" both Susan and David Hind parrot the "revival" mantra of the NAR false prophets that we have heard repeated year after year. This mantra has worn rather thin over the years and many believers have come to reject the false promises of "imminent revival". False "prophets" never question why their "revival" never comes to anything, but astonishingly they persist unrepentant and undeterred.

Susan Hind begins by quoting the first part of Jeremiah 33:9 out of context - And this city shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations.. According to Susan Hind, many people have prayed this verse "over our city" over the years. What NAR "prophets" describe as "prayer" often consists of the unbiblical practice of "declaration". They "decree and declare" certain things they decide are going to happen rather than submitting genuine prayers of petition to the Lord. (Matthew 6:10).

Susan Hind: "Right now the eyes of the world are on Leicester and Leicestershire... so what about if God was about to break into our city and county?"

David Hind continued the hype with the words from the song "Change" by Bright City:

We can see a change coming
Our God is here to save
We can see a change coming
The streets are filled with praise
We can see a change coming
The church will take her place
We can see a change coming
Revival’s on its way

David Hind: "God is at work here in Leicestershire.."3

On the 1st May 2022 David Hind went even further: "This is a fulfillment season, an outbreak season."4 Over a year later, Hind proclaimed "We are still on the cusp of revival".This is typical of false prophets who constantly repeat that we are on the cusp of something enormous, but that "something" never happens.

The non-fulfillment of these "prophecies" is clear evidence that David and Susan Hind are not genuine prophets.

In addition to their false "apostolic/prophetic" claims, the Hinds are false teachers. This was recently demonstrated by David Hind's abysmal Mickey Mouse teaching on women pastors and tithing.4 Furthermore, their ungodly associations, their history of flouting the scriptures, and their constant pressure to give to the One Church "Vision" are additional reasons to reject their "ministry". (2 Timothy 2:15,4:16; James 3:1).

DAVID HIND ONE CHURCH LEICESTER: WHITEWASHED SEPULCHRES

One Church Together - VISION SUNDAY | 3rd November 2024, 11.30am

David Hind and "Pastor" Susan's self-praise is so sickening that I can hardly bear to watch their whitewashed history of ONE Church, formerly Trinity Life Church Leicester (Assemblies of God).

I have recently been following the David Platt documentaries, and although this is a different situation with different issues, there are some interesting parallels with Hind and One Church. In 1980, Lon Solomon became the Senior Pastor of McLean Bible Church, a huge megachurch in Virginia. In September 2017, David Platt was confirmed as the Pastor-Teacher, later "Lead Pastor", replacing Lon Solomon by being the sole candidate offered to the membership. Platt has been busy systematically destroying McLean Bible Church in Virginia since his appointment. Some brave people have been challenging him for years, and after a great struggle, the upshot is that Platt is now totally exposed as a wolf and a liar. Platt's method of resisting his accusers has been very enlightening. He immediately surrounded himself with "yes men" giving key positions only to those who would back him. Lon Solomon has been eerily silent during Platt's wicked tenure as pastor. He has not commented or offered support to those who were being systematically spiritually abused! The situation is even worse with Brian Niblock. He has openly supported Hind's folly from day one. I remember him saying that he did not want to be "the grumpy old man" in the church by criticizing the new pastor. It is biblical to speak out about false teaching and danger to the flock, even if we are unpopular for doing so. (Ezekiel 33:8-9). Only hirelings think more about their reputation than the Lord! (John 10:13).

As I watched the documentaries about Platt I remembered the bizarre way in which David Hind was appointed as the pastor of TLC and the so-called "family meeting" when it was announced that the much-loved Assistant Pastor Peter Buick was rejected by the elders. Several people spoke up in protest, but all to no avail. The three elders had made an "executive decision" and were determined to reject this godly man as pastor without offering the congregation a reason apart from "the Lord showed us". The public humiliation Peter Buick suffered at this meeting is something I will never forget. I found it so distressing that I decided never to attend another "family meeting" at TLC again. The next thing we knew, and to everyone's utter surprise, David Hind had been appointed as the new pastor. This was basically a fait accompli, orchestrated on Brian Niblock's watch!  I wondered whether this had been their agenda all along.

The very day Hind began in his role as Pastor at TLC, my friend and I knew that something was wrong. One of his first acts was to ask people to put their offerings into envelopes and to put their names on their donations. It was not very long after Hind's arrival before cronyism set in and he employed his friend from Nottingham AOG as Musical Director. Almost immediately, the existing worship team suddenly left the church and neither they nor their family were ever seen again! Other individuals and families soon followed suit due to Hind's questionable leadership style. Before long we had to endure Hind's infantile party games during worship time :( This was the final straw. My friend and I left halfway through the circus and did not return. Hind's ecumenical associations with Churches Together and the infamous Adam Simmonds, Northamptonshire PCC followed. The appointment of Adam Simmonds as Director of Trinity Life Church and the lottery fiasco were par for the course. The compromise of entering into a binding agreement with Big Lottery and their worldly values was in my view due to Simmonds' unholy influence. Although Simmonds may have been the source of the temptation, Hind and his cronies failed the test and even gloried in their shame. (2 Corinthians 6:14; Philippians 3:19; Isaiah 5:20). There followed visits from false teachers Mark Stibbe, Benny Hinn, and other wolves. More recently NAR false "prophet" Simon Braker infiltrated ONE Church complete with alleged first-person words from the Lord. The list continues. Susan Hind decided to become a "pastor" despite the clear biblical directive against aspiring to such a position. (1 Timothy 2:12). Hind's false teaching on women pastors, tithing, and false prophesies about imminent "revival" are huge red flags. The list goes on and on!* As you can see, my history of ONE Church differs considerably from Hind's whitewash.
