A SIGN OF THE TIMES: THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND'S COMING VOTE ON TRANSGENDER BAPTISM

"The Church of England is to vote on creating an official ‘baptism-style’ service to celebrate when transgender Christians change sex.
The controversial motion has dismayed traditionalists, who say the Bible teaches that gender is God-given.
But liberals said vicars have been forced to devise unofficial services to welcome sex-change worshippers and the Church should demonstrate its unambiguous acceptance of transsexuals....."

Such a move, if successful, would go directly against the scriptures. Conservative Synod member Andrea Williams, director of pressure group Christian Concern, said: "It is unclear why we are even debating this issue."

Liberal Synod member Jayne Ozanne: “The Bible teaches that we are each fearfully and wonderfully made, and we should therefore look to celebrate God’s gift of diversity in creation, not treat those of us who are non-heterosexual as having mental disorders that need to be ‘cured,' {1}

I would agree with Jayne Ozanne that we are each fearfully and wonderfully made... (Psalm 139:14). However, God does not contradict Himself. If He makes a person male or female, then who are we to argue with the unmistakable physical evidence before us? The scriptures warn us that there are severe consequences for those who distort the gospel of Christ. (Galatians 1:7). The liberal scripture twisters are playing a dangerous game that will not ultimately succeed. For I the LORD do not change.. (Malachi 3:6).

The scriptures are clear that God created humans to engage in sex exclusively within marriage between a male and a female. (Genesis 1:27, 28; Leviticus 18:22; Proverbs 5:18, 19). God condemns sexual relationships unless they are between a husband and wife, whether they are homosexual or heterosexual. (1 Corinthians 6:18). The apostle Paul instructed Christians not to judge those outside the church; that is God's business. However, those supposedly inside the church, those who profess to be Christians are a different matter entirely.

I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.” (1 Corinthians 5:9-12).

It is a mistake to view anyone who is non-heterosexual as having a mental disorder that needs to be "cured". The bible teaches that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The "cure" so called, is a new creation in Jesus Christ, the new man. In other words, once someone has been born again and truly accepted Jesus Christ into his life, they become a different person.. the old has passed away the new has come. In fact without repentance and the new birth no one can stand (Ezra 9:15).

Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ (John 3:3-7).

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17).

If the Son shall make you free you shall be free indeed (John 8:36).

  1. An excellent article; says it as it is written in God's word.

I believe (sadly) that the great many of today's so-called professing Christians are brainwashed by secular psychiatrists/psychologists so-called (not that there is such a thing as TRUE Christian psychiatrists/psychologists, you understand!) Much damage has been done to the body of Christ in this regard by the likes of Larry Crabb/Selwyn Hughes. Are you at all familiar with their writings/teachings?

If only believers would stand on the unadulterated truth of God's word ALONE
and NOT with the admixture of sinful mans teaching?

The Scottish Episcopalian Church has just voted in favour of same-sex marriage, I wonder how long it will be before busloads of the LGBT fraternity come up here to publicly promote and showcase their wicked agenda?

As this general election has just passed (not that I voted-my God given conscience wouldn't allow me to vote for any political party as they all support same sex marriage/abortion etc). The alliance with the DUP is interesting, but they will soon compromise, just as Paisley did. I mention all of this as I was chided somewhat for not voting, as I was reminded that people died (Emily Davison; suffragette) so that we COULD vote! If only men and women WOULD believe on THE ATONEMENT-NOT the vote!!! He died to save us! Democracy is a failed institution, its full development will lead to despotism, as we are now witnessing.

What are your thoughts on the suffragette/feminist movement-have you written/studied its impact on our nation?

    God bless.

  2. I am aware of Selwyn Hughes very slightly Colin but not Larry Crabb.

As you say the alliance with the DUP is "interesting". Considering the following it appears that Theresa May will do anything to hold onto power, even to the point of forsaking her beloved political correctness and all the wicked things she stands for.

The DUP want to make it legal to discriminate against anyone from the LGBT community
The DUP want children to be taught creationism as scientific fact
The DUP want no woman to have access to any type of abortion, and furthermore criminalise anyone offering or seeking that service
The DUP want to bring back the death penalty

I have not studied the suffragette movement in any real depth, only superficially. I think that democracy, although flawed, is better than authoritarian government. I do not trust politicians as you probably know from my posts about Adam Simmonds, PCC for Northamptonshire. I did vote against the Conservatives simply because I disagree with just about all their policies.

    God bless.

  3. Almost 300,000 people sign petition against the Tory-DUP deal in just 12 hours!!!

  4. I think the "cat has been set among the pigeons". Political chicanery will no doubt increase!!
The mainstream tabloids are aghast at what the DUP stands for, calling it a "coalition of crackpots" (Daily Mirror)!
That is what WE are according to these folk.
When the wicked increase as they have done, it is obvious that they will vote for more wicked legislation-which is exactly what has exponentially happened in recent years.

They can hold as many petitions as they like, but the DUP are an elected political party with MPs in the houses of parliament, so it is all a waste of time!
I see God's hand clearly in all these events.

Regarding the failure of democracy, I have an interesting excerpt from a book written by a Mr Ernest Baker, will post later or tomorrow.
    God bless

PS. Larry Crabb is an American 'Christian' psychologist and 'counselor' whose methods were practiced by Hughes and still are by his CWR outfit. (Hughes was Pentecostal-need I say more?).

  5. Theresa May is another "Christian" who does not follow the scriptures!
I also see God's hand in this Colin. Hebrews 10:21

  6. After going through the various characteristics of the "great image" in Daniel 2, Mr Baker writes:

"Coming down to the Roman Empire, we find that rule was administered not by descent, but by popular election; and this feature is to be more marked towards the end.
'And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men; but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of those kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed.' (Daniel 2.42-44).
This is interpreted, and we think rightly so, as democracy. And lest any should say: "That is being wise after the event; you are reading modern conditions into the prophetic word," let us quote from Hyppolytus (A.D.235), who said: "The ten toes of the image will turn out to be so many democracies." This is the characteristic of our day. Governments have to think of the electorate, AND NOT NECESSARILY OF WHAT IS RIGHT OR WRONG. There is a consequent weakness in human government. Human government will be in its weakest condition towards the close of the age. With the vote given to every man and woman over twenty-one (written in 1951), it is impossible for democracy to become more general than now. We have touched the bottom in the extension of the vote."

Can we not see where democracy is now leading us? It is the very system that will eventually lead us to Antichrist himself. I have no doubt that if every man and woman adhered to God's written word in all areas of their lives, that democracy could very well work, but as we know this is not the case (nor ever will be!)-wickedness is the current order of things in "this present evil world" Galatians 1.4! Democracy will be replaced by Theocracy when the Lord Jesus returns.
    God bless.

  7. The contrast between "they" and "seed of men" indicates that the "they" are not human. I think that "they" are ten demon kings, in other words human government will be over:

And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems. (Revelation 12:3).
And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads.(Revelation 13:1).
And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast. (Revelation 17:12).
    God bless you Colin.

  8. I see! it seems to me that those pesky Nephilim are rearing up their ugly heads yet again?!

Reading the context, (it is clear to me at any rate) that the "they" is human government in all its forms from the head of gold right down to failed democracy. But certainly some "think" otherwise! I believe the ESV puts it quite well, "..they will mix with one another in marriage, but they will not hold together" (a divorce!). When the "marriage supper of the Lamb" takes place God's righteous government will never end!

No doubt the ten toes which answer to the ten horns of the Revelation will be energized by Satan.
    God bless.

  9. I do think that the end time scenario with the ten kings is connected with the Nephilim Colin. I would also point out that democracy is not world wide (or likely to be), and yet the Antichrist's power will be world wide. God bless.

    ReplyDelete
  10. We are ONLY concerned here with the democracies of the western and eastern legs of the revived Roman Empire. They ARE the ONLY ones Bible prophecies are concerned with. Viz; the ten nations or the Ten Kingdoms surrounding the Great Sea, Jerusalem being the cauldron! Certainly democracy will NOT be world wide-never!
No doubt Antichrist's power and influence will be felt far beyond the lands of the Mediterranean, to what degree I am not certain, though Revelation 13.17 would suggest so.
It is important to realise that when Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar, Darius etc had world dominance, they didn't rule over every square mile of the world, only the known world at that time.
    God bless.

  11. The fourth and final empire in these prophecies refers both to historic Rome and to an end time world empire or world government. Nebuchadnezzar's symbolic statue and Daniel's vision extend to an end-time empire linked to historic Rome, but which rules the world. Certainly the ten nations surrounding the Great Sea will be critical as you say Colin. God bless.

  12. Nothing surprises me about the Church of England anymore. Horrified, sickened and exasperated, yes but never surprised. Even before I became a believer I used to shake my head whenever I saw a clergyman on television denying the virgin birth or the resurrection and wonder why they bothered to be involved in religion.

  13. Yes I agree Monopode. I think it may be too late for the CofE to repent.
