THE FLAT EARTH MODEL

If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame. (Proverbs 18:13)

Like many other people, the flat earth model is something I have never previously thought about seriously. However, having done some research into the subject, and to my own astonishment, I find that I am unable to debunk it. I believe it is worth investigating this subject despite its detractors and the stigma attached to it. Most people's reaction will be to dismiss the flat-earth view out of hand, but perhaps we should not be too hasty in forming an opinion after all.

The heliocentric system of worship forms the basis of Roman Catholicism and its Luciferian system, sun worship having been merged with Christianity through the Emperor Constantine and the bishops of Rome in the fourth century.
 
The Roman Catholic view of the sun as the centre of the cosmos was accepted about five hundred years ago, after the Jesuit Order was founded in 1540 during the Counter Reformation. The astronomical  model which proposed that the earth and planets revolve around the sun at the centre of the solar system was revived from Greek philosophy and presented by Renaissance mathematician, astronomer and Roman Catholic cleric Nicolaus Copernicus in 1543. (Colossians 2:8).{1} It was under the auspices of the RC Church that Copernicus made his theories known and proposed the new heliocentric model of the universe which gained a hold at a time when many people were uneducated and therefore unequipped to challenge it. Amazingly the heliocentric theory was taught as "fact" universally without direct proof until scientific proof was supposedly provided by Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel's trigonometric parallax method in 1838.{2}

Heliocentrism was strongly opposed by Reformers Martin Luther and John Calvin who upheld the traditional geocentric model which placed a flat, enclosed earth at the centre of the cosmos:

"Luther took the days of creation as literal 24-hour days, with the sun and other heavenly bodies created on day 4 and that he believed all this took place less than 6,000 years before." {3}

Luther: "There is talk of a new astrologer who wants to prove that the earth moves and goes around instead of the sky, the sun, the moon, just as if somebody were moving in a carriage or ship might hold that he was sitting still and at rest while the earth and the trees walked and moved. But that is how things are nowadays: when a man wishes to be clever he must needs invent something special, and the way he does it must needs be the best! The fool wants to turn the whole art of astronomy upside-down. However, as Holy Scripture tells us, so did Joshua bid the sun to stand still and not the earth." {4} 

"Some years after the publication of De Revolutionibus John Calvin preached a sermon in which he denounced those who "pervert the order of nature" by saying that "the sun does not move and that it is the earth that revolves and that it turns." {5} 

Is the notion of a globe-shaped world orbiting the sun a myth?

Interestingly the NATO logo is a flat earth surrounded by laurel leaves. Laurel is the symbol of Apollo aka Apollyon/Destroyer/Abaddon/Lucifer. (Revelation 9:11)

"If you set a bearing due South from anywhere on Earth, inevitably at or before 78 degrees Southern latitude, you will find yourself face-to-face with an enormous ice-wall towering 100-200 feet in the air extending to the East and West the entire circumference of the world!"

"Captain Cook and crew sailed a total of 60,000 miles along the Antarctic coastline never once finding an inlet or path through or beyond the massive glacial wall!  Captain Cook wrote: 'The ice extended east and west far beyond the reach of our sight, while the southern half of the horizon was illuminated by rays of light which were reflected from the ice to a considerable height.  It was indeed my opinion that this ice extends quite to the pole, or perhaps joins some land to which it has been fixed since creation.'"

"On October 5th, 1839 another explorer, James Clark Ross began a series of Antarctic voyages lasting a total of 4 years and 5 months.  Ross and his crew sailed two heavily armored warships thousands of miles, losing many men from hurricanes and icebergs, looking for an entry point beyond the southern glacial wall.  Upon first confronting the massive barrier Captain Ross wrote of the wall, “extending from its eastern extreme point as far as the eye could discern to the eastward.  It presented an extraordinary appearance, gradually increasing in height, as we got nearer to it, and proving at length to be a perpendicular cliff of ice, between one hundred and fifty feet and two hundred feet above the level of the sea, perfectly flat and level at the top, and without any fissures or promontories on its even seaward face.  We might with equal chance of success try to sail through the cliffs of Dover, as to penetrate such a mass.” 

"'The British Ship Challenger recently completed the circuit of the Southern region - indirectly, to be sure - but she was three years about it, and traversed nearly 69,000 miles - a stretch long enough to have taken her six times round on the globular hypothesis.'  -William Carpenter" {6}

The first supposed flight over Antarctica was made by Lincoln Ellsworth on his third attempt with Herbert Hollick-Kenyon. However, they were forced to abort the attempt several times, and because their sextant was faulty they could not achieve accurate readings. There is no footage of their expedition.{7}

Houston, we have a problem..

NASA (aka Never A Straight Answer) is the main organisation to disseminate information about the universe and how it functions. However, it takes very little research to establish that NASA is a very dishonest organisation. To name just a few of NASA's many inconsistencies:

* The alleged moon landing in 1969 is now widely doubted and throws up a number of questions as demonstrated in the video by Ralph René A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Moon.{8}
* The nervous press conference of Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and his two colleagues following the supposed "moon landing" very strongly suggests that something is not right.{9}
* NASA announced that the original telemetry tapes which captured the first moonwalk videos were "lost".{10}
* Neil Armstrong was unduly reticent and subdued about the moon landing for the rest of his life and refused to give interviews for years. Armstrong was said to be a committed Christian, but actually he was a "Deist" which is not the same thing. Buzz Aldrin suffered a nervous breakdown and became an alcoholic following the mission.
* NASA openly admits that the photographs of the earth from space are photoshopped. {11}
* The tragic "deaths" of the Challenger astronauts are an outrageous sham! By all accounts they are still alive and kicking, two of them are explained away by the very rare phenomenon of identical twins.{12}
* There is strong evidence to suggest that the Mars mission was fake.{13}
I could give many more examples, but needless to say that the circus they call NASA hardly engenders public confidence in their ability to tell the truth! NASA's 2016 black hole budget of $19.3 billion is truly astronomical!

In common with NASA, many of the world's space programmes share the Vector or V symbolism in their logo: "It is, in fact, a sign of Satan, of malediction, of the horned God, Pan, and worse." {15}

Too may sixes? The scientists? tell us that the earths axial tilt is 66.6 degrees in a 90 degree quadrant. The earths orbital speed around the sun is 66,600 miles an hour and the earths curvature drop in one mile is 0.666ft.
This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666. (Revelation 13:17-18 cf. Revelation 15:2).

A disturbing development has recently transpired, in that the faithful remnant church are being persuaded by some leaders to discard the geocentric model on their say so alone, without undertaking a critical analysis of the facts. (Proverbs 18:2). Jacob Prasch concerns me. He has denounced and derided all flat-earth considerations, telling his followers not to pay any attention to them and calling those Christians who take them seriously "ignorant". He takes quite a bit of time at the beginning of this video naming and discrediting Robert Sungenis who challenges the heliocentric view. Is this a red herring? It seems highly unlikely that genuine born-again Christians would be looking to Sungenis in any capacity, spiritual or otherwise, since he claims to be an apologist for the Roman Catholic Church.{16}

Prasch promotes himself as some sort of spiritual guru in his "questions" series on Moriel TV (also aired on YouTube). I would advise his supporters to be extremely wary of taking everything Prasch says as "gospel". His intra-seal theory is full of holes {17} and his endorsement of certain ecumenicals is enough for us to question his true loyalties.{18} Anyone who endorses NASA has either not done their research or they are part of the problem! If Prasch is right in rejecting the flat earth model, he should be able to debunk it biblically and scientifically, without deviating into all sorts of irrelevant subjects as he did in this particular video. I have viewed many websites and links, and I have never heard any Christian teacher or leader say that the flat-earth view must be accepted by faith alone as Prasch claims. In fact there are a growing number of non-Christians who take the flat earth view seriously. The secular websites I have viewed have produced their own evidence for a flat-earth, and they have debunked (or claimed to debunk) the heliocentric model without taking faith considerations into account.

Despite the Bible primarily being a "theological book" as Prasch says, we should not be guilty of spiritualizing the factual information it conveys because it is at odds with so called "science". Are we not encouraged to take the Bible literally unless it states otherwise? The information given in the scriptures does not support the heliocentric model, and this should be a concern given its dubious history and the lies of NASA and other agencies. Born again Christians take literally the truth concerning the person of Jesus Christ i.e. the virgin birth and His resurrection from the dead etc. without any reliance on scientific proof. We rely on faith of course, but it is not blind faith given that the Word of God, and in particular biblical prophecies concerning Christ are very specific. Similarly, I do not think that blind faith is involved in accepting the biblical model of creation. There would be no reason for God to give us such a detailed account of creation in the Book of Genesis if He were not wanting to tell us something. (2 Timothy 2:15).

The sun and moon were created on the fourth day, after the creation of the earth:

And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars..... And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day. (Genesis 1:14-19) 

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1; cf. Genesis 2:4; Psalm 148:13; Zechariah 5:9). The heaven (sky or aerial firmament) is referred to as an expanse - "From raqa'; properly, an expanse, i.e. The firmament or (apparently) visible arch of the sky -- firmament." {19} The lights (sun moon and stars) were set inside the expanse (Genesis 1:14-17).

Nothing in the scriptures or the extra-biblical texts indicate that the moon reflects the light of the sun. The scriptures describe the sun and the moon as two great lights (luminaries), the moon being the lesser light. (Genesis 1:16). Jesus prophesied .....and the moon shall not give its light. (Matthew 24.29). The sun and moon were created for the benefit the earth i.e. to separate the day from the night, for signs and for seasons, for days and years and to give light upon the earth. (Genesis 1:14). 

I do not claim that the Book of Enoch is canonical, but its astronomical formulas are remarkably accurate. Enoch Chapter 72 describes the moon also as a "luminary" in its own right.{20} and further explains the various positions of the sun and the moon which rise and set from six portals. Enoch also tells us that the sun and the moon are the same size, and that the sun shines seven times brighter than the moon. {21}The greater and lesser lights of Genesis 1:16 refer to comparative luminosity rather than size if we take Enoch's account to be accurate. A minority of translations have, in my view, wrongly translated greater and lesser lights to larger and smaller lights.{22}

The Book of Enoch corresponds with the psalmist:

In them he has set a tent for the sun,
which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
and its circuit to the end of them,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
(Psalm 19:4-6).

The age of the earth is also related to this topic. According to Wikpedia, the age of the Earth is 4.54 ± 0.05 billion years (4.54 × 109 years ± 1%) "This dating is based on evidence from readiometric age dating of meteorite material and is consistent with the radiometric ages of the oldest-known terrestrial and lunar samples." {23} Many Christians believe that the earth (or at least the biosphere) is approximately six thousand years old, choosing not to accept the phantom "evidences" provided by science. 

Is the biblical description of the moon as a luminary just a question of semantics? Stars have been observed through the dark parts moon, suggesting that it is translucent and not a solid spherical object.{24} There are also videos of the moon in front of the clouds which are difficult to explain away as so called "anomalies".

Expanding Universe?

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation. (Genesis 2:1-3). 

The above verses state that God finished creating the heavens and the earth in six days. The scriptures contradict Hubble's Law, i.e. the scientific assertion that the universe is still developing and expanding. 

The Sixth Seal of Revelation:  

When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. (Revelation 6:12-14 cf. Isaiah 34:4; Matthew 24:29; Mark 14:25).

The flat earth model is depicted as a circle inside a square. The scriptures refer to the earth not as a ball, but as a circle and also as having four corners.

It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in; (Isaiah 40:22 cf. Proverbs 8:27). Can we force a globe upon the text here? The Hebrew word for "circle" is "chug" {25} as against the Hebrew word for "ball" "dur" as in Isaiah 22:18. {26}  

After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth..... (Revelation 7:1)

The devil took Jesus to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory in order to tempt him. (Matthew 4:8). Why would the devil take Jesus to a very high mountain if this is metaphoric?

The long day of Joshua: It is repeated no less than five times in the Book of Joshua that the sun stopped : And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped..... (Joshua 10:12-13 cf. Habakkuk 3:11). These events were recorded in the missing Book of Jasher or the Book of the Upright which is referred to more than once in the scriptures. (2 Corinthians 13:1). Furthermore Psalms 93 and 104:9 and Ecclesiastes 1:5 also speak of celestial motion and terrestrial stability.

There are no less than sixty seven Bible references which tell us that the sun and not the earth moves {27}

Can Jacob Prasch explain why we should we believe the Jesuits, the Roman Catholics, the Freemasons, Skull and Bones and NASA's lies and photoshopped images! Can he explain why we should not research the geocentric model without the biases imposed upon us by the world, and why we should not study the scriptures, the relevant extra biblical material and seek the Lord? (2 Peter 1:5). I do not expect Prasch to answer these questions by the way!

IF the geocentric model is taken as a true representation of reality, it is a game changer to a significant degree. Critically, this model completely debunks UFO's and extra terrestrials, something which is accepted as a possibility by many, including the Vatican. One possible end time scenario is the deception that our "creators" were spiritual beings from a distant galaxy and have now returned to help us out. If the geocentric model is the truth and accepted as such, it would have the benefit of protecting those who believe it from this particular deception, if in fact this is the way the enemy plays it. (Matthew 24:24).

This is a huge subject which has many twists and turns. It is not practical to go into all the complexities of geocentrism in this post, but there are many websites which give good information. I have listed just a few points and some of my own thoughts below.

Satellites? Many flat earth advocates dismiss satellites as a hoax. Satellites are alleged to be on a low earth orbit (LEO). For instance, the International Space Station is said to be on an LEO of about 250 miles above the earth's surface. Flat-earth proponents vary in their calculations, but 3000 miles seems to be a ballpark figure that many of them use as the distance of the sun from the earth. IF 3000 miles is correct, it does not preclude the existence of satellites at 250 miles or less, though according to the geocentric model they would would somehow be circling a flat earth rather than orbiting a spherical earth. We are told that geocentric satellites are placed at an altitude of approximately 22,300 miles directly over the equator, revolving in the same direction the earth rotates (west to east). In other words they appear stationary as seen from the earth ... hmm interesting!  

Why did the Roman church condemn Galileo (1564-1642) for promoting the heliocentric model when they had previously encouraged Copernicus to publicise the model one hundred years earlier?
The Jesuits employ devious tactics and often play both sides in order to achieve their ultimate nefarious ends. They may have seemed to reject Galileo's theory due to a longer term plan of ultimately accepting it, hence they employed the Hegelian Dialectic: "Hegelian dialectic, usually presented in a threefold manner..... as comprising three dialectical stages of development: a thesis, giving rise to its reaction, an antithesis, which contradicts or negates the thesis, and the tension between the two being resolved by means of a synthesis."{28} 

What about circumnavigation?
The United Nations logo demonstrates the flat earth model with the north pole at the centre and Antarctica around the outer edge. The continents are spread around the north pole. On a compass, east and west are always at right angles to the north. Therefore to travel in an easterly direction is in fact a circular journey around the north pole.

Do meteorites have a cosmic origin?   
The word  "meteor" comes from the Greek word for "atmospheric. Prior to the nineteenth century there were differing views on the source of meteorites, but a widely held view was that meteors were formed in the atmosphere. According to Oliver C. Farrington in his paper 'The Pre-Terrestrial History of Meteorites' (1901):  "Meteorites have been declared to be (I) terrestrial matter discharged into space by the volcanoes of the earth and returned to it again (Sir Robert Ball); (2) matter discharged from the volcanoes of the moon (La Place, J. Lawrence Smith); (3) matter ejected from the sun (Sorby); (4) portions of shattered stars (Meunier); (5) portions of a shattered planet (Boisse); (6) portions of comets (Newton); (7) clouds of gas or dust cemented and solidified by the action of the earth's atmosphere (Brezina). All of these hypotheses have been urged by men of eminence, each urging strong reasons for his views." {29} 

The cosmic origin of meteors was established by Yale University Professor, Benjamin Silliman based on his analysis of the Connecticut Weston meteorite in 1807. Silliman's analysis subsequently formed the foundation of modern scientific research, and his views are now taken as a given. However his deduction was not without its detractors: "President Thomas Jefferson (who had studied natural sciences) made a memorable statement. 'I would sooner believe that two Yankee professors would lie than that stones would fall from heaven!'"{30} Silliman is recorded as being a Skull and Bones member in 1837.{31} It seems to me that Silliman's analysis, just like the views of the other "eminent" men mentioned above, is hypothetical. Just because Silliman's extraterrestrial analysis fits into the current worldview, should we blindly accept it?

Is Copernicanism the foundation that is holding up ALL evolutionary science?
Marshall Hall (1931-2013) author of The Earth Is Not Moving: "The Copernican Model of a rotating, orbiting Earth is a fact-less, observation-denying deception that is the keystone which is holding up all of modern man's false 'science' and 'knowledge'". {32}

Marshall Hall argued that there has been an incremental progression from the physical sciences of astronomy and physics to the natural sciences. The heliocentric view of the earth makes us inconsequential on a universal level, whereas Darwinism degrades human beings into evolved animals. I would agree that we are being taken apart piecemeal as human beings made in the image of God. (Genesis 1:27). Many people now accept as the norm the secularisation of society which has led to the evils of political correctness, abortion and its devaluation of human life and sexual deviance. The Five Categories of Knowledge according to Marshall are: "Physical Sciences; Natural Sciences; Social [and Behavioral] Sciences; Arts & Humanities; Religion." {32} It is clear that humanity is undergoing the final stages of the satanically orchestrated deception to completely destroy man's relationship with his creator.

Freemasonry is not only a dominant feature within NASA, it also played a very big part in the exploration of the Antarctic. The early explorers including Scott, Amundsen and Shackleton were Freemasons. Antarctic explorer Admiral Byrd was a 33rd degree Freemason. Byrd established First Antarctic Lodge No. 777 of New Zealand constitution on February 5, 1935. Many anomalies surround Byrd's expedition to Antarctica in 1946-7, Operation Highjump, which ended abruptly six months early. We might speculate, but frankly there is no way of ascertaining what actually happened during Operation Highjump since the data immediately became top secret classified information on the return of the navy.

Antarctica became a scientific preserve in 1959. The international Antarctic Treaty System ensures that no one can get anywhere near the area apart from authorised personnel. There are no commercial flights over Antarctica, despite it being the shortest direct route between South Africa/Australia/South America.

The IceCube Neutrino Observatory is built 8000ft beneath the Antarctic ice to investigate neutrinos.{33} Coincidentally, neutrino's are what CERN are involved with in their "dark matter" experiments! 

There can be no doubt that the people at the very top of governments and the sciences are Luciferians and are being directed by the spirit of Antichrist. Whatever is going on with NASA, NATO and in the Antarctic .....the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. (1 John 5:19 cf. John 8:44). The enemy is at work in many different ways. There are men like Prasch who pour derision on the credibility of the geocentric model in order to make its proponents look ridiculous. There are also bogus flat-earth theorists out there who deliberately disseminate false information that can easily be discredited, again making the model look ridiculous. Believers should at least be prepared to prayerfully consider the possibility that this subject could be a critical part of the spiritual battle going on between good and evil. (Genesis 3:1; 2 Corinthians 11:3).

Whose "science" should we believe? I have not formed a definitive conclusion about a flat-earth at this time, but my view of reality has been challenged. The more I look into the flat earth model, the more wonder whether the populace may have been subject to a mass cosmological deception as part of the Roman Catholic Counter-Reformation strategy which has its tentacles spread throughout the governments of the earth.

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Former Northamptonshire PCC Adam Simmonds appeared in court again today over claims he leaked information relating to a criminal investigation into Tory MP Peter Bone. Simmonds has been given a provisional trial date in August next year on a charge of breaching data protection. During the hearing, it was revealed that ".....prosecutors are ready to call a number of MPs, a mayor, and a former chief constable to give evidence against Simmonds." Simmonds was granted unconditional bail ahead of a preliminary hearing at Southwark Crown Court on January 23. {1} It seems that Simmonds unpopularity is not limited to the general public, i.e. those mere mortals who took the brunt of his arrogance and suffered the effects of his unrighteous behaviour. I refer particularly to his cronyism, his overspending, the questionable circumstances surrounding the sale of Wootton Hall,{2} and not least, his despicable ecumenical agenda (Amos 5:21). God alone knows the extent of the evil he perpetrated at Trinity Life Church in Leicester in his former role as Director and Trustee.

Ironically, shortly after his election in 2012, Simmonds described himself as 'the George Washington of the system' in a Guardian interview. {3} According to several historical records, George Washington was known to be a man of great honour and personal integrity with real Christian commitment. The comparison does not bear scrutiny, but I will let my readers decide what sort of man Simmonds is.

666 IN PLAIN SIGHT

Simmonds was responsible for removing two of my posts critiquing Trinity Life Church in 2014. I was blocked in all my efforts to ascertain the details of his actions despite appealing to the IPCC! The PCC informed me that it did not require supporting evidence and I was left asking the question: How can anyone effectively “investigate” a matter without evidence other than the subjects word? {4}It would be good if this matter were re-opened, but without connections like MP Peter Bone, I think it extremely unlikely that I shall get any justice in this lifetime. I have since republished my posts about Trinity Life Church, who continue their decline into apostasy, even going so far as to blatantly sport Satan's favourite number, 666, at their infamous 6 Degrees Coffee House! (Revelation 13:18). {5}

Former Northants police boss accused of revealing information about Wellingborough MP

"Northamptonshire's first ever Police and Crime Commissioner appeared in court today (Tuesday) accused of passing information about Wellingborough MP Peter Bone.
Adam Simmonds, aged 39, denied disclosing information relating to a criminal investigation into the Conservative MP when he appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
The alleged breach took place between November 2013 and May 2014, when Simmonds was still in his role as Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), and is said to involve him passing the information to colleagues inside the Conservative Party.
Simmonds was elected in 2012, describing himself shortly afterwards in a Guardian interview as 'the George Washington of the system'.
He served until 2016, when he was replaced by fellow Conservative Stephen Mold.
John Law, prosecuting, said: 'This is a case relating to the disclosure of information regarding a criminal investigation into a then and current Member of Parliament.
'This was done by this defendant having received information in his capacity as Police and Crime Commissioner and passing it to a number of colleagues in the Conservative Party between the dates that we have heard.
'It is plainly serious to disclose this information and plainly in breach of trust as a public servant, as he received this information in a professional capacity.
Simmonds, of Northcote Road, in Leicester, denies one count of breaching the Data Protection Act.
He was granted unconditional bail ahead of a preliminary hearing at Southwark Crown Court on November 15." {6}

PROPHECY TODAY: CLIFFORD HILL'S DELUDED FIRST PERSON PROPHECY AND HIS BREXIT U-TURN!!!

And the LORD said to me: “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds. (Jeremiah 14:14) 

A mere six weeks ago, in September, I reported my concerns about a joint prophetic message from Prophecy Today's Editor in Chief Clifford Hill and David Noakes.{1} 

Hill: "God has mercifully given to Britain the chance of deliverance from the marriage with the European Union and the opportunity to forge a new role in the world under his blessing. This could be a sign and powerful witness to the nations of the rewards that are open to all who seek a right relationship with God and are prepared to love and obey him." {2} 

Just a few weeks later, on the 4th of November, Clifford Hill wrote about the significance of the High Court Judges' decision that Brexit cannot be implemented without the approval of Parliament. According to Hill: "Brexit is by no means won." {3}

Noakes' Brexit prophecy in September (with Hill's full participation and endorsement) purported to be a clear word "from the Lord" in the first person and prophesied Britain's preservation from the darkness and upheaval which will supposedly overtake Europe:

Noakes: "There will be great darkness and upheaval in the European institution; but I have done this in your nation at this time in order to preserve you."{2}  

Since these two ecumenical "prophets" hear so clearly from the Lord, perhaps they can tell us whether Britain will or will not come out of the EU, or is God confused? 

Clifford Hill's contradictory November "prophecy" followed by some of my own thoughts:

Hill: "Brexit is by no means won."

"This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid of Brexit, the battle is not yours but mine. I guided the vote to leave the European Union - the Union that denies its heritage of truth that your forefathers fought and gave their lives to maintain. It is a union that has brought darkness to the people and now it is a Continent that is walking in darkness. But you my people are the ones who have seen a great light and yours is the task to open eyes that are blind and ears that are deaf to the truth.

Those who have seen the light will witness to those who walk in darkness and are bound by the power of Satan, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and be set free from the powers of darkness. It is not the politicians who will set the people free but it is those who have seen the light. They will be used as a mighty army of prayer warriors to support and direct the way of those who hold political power so that when the great shaking of Europe begins and the towers of mammon fall, Britain will stand firm and will be a witness to the world." http://www.prophecytoday.uk/comment/editorial/item/539-a-new-twist-in-the-brexit-battle.html

The European Union is walking in darkness, and so is Britain in case anyone hadn't noticed. There can be no witness to the world when Britain, just as much as Europe, has forsaken her Christian heritage. Neither Britain or Europe can stand firm without repentance. Didn't the heritage of the Reformation come from Europe first of all i.e. Germany in 1517? Why does Hill speak as though only Britain retains a heritage and has seen "a great light"?

Hill makes an argument for national identity and the unique purpose that God has for each community of people and cites Acts 17:26-37. Hill: "God has a purpose for each nation, within his overall purpose of bringing his truth to all humanity."  My main concern in September was, of course, the fact that these two "prophets" are ecumenical. As much as anyone warns about the state of our nation, same sex marriage etc., and as serious as these problems are, the underlying wound is ecumenism which is a festering sore that cannot be healed, except through repentance. They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace. (Jeremiah 8:11) Issachar Ministries keep their theology pretty much in the dark, but I now begin to wonder if Hill and Noakes are also universalists.

I would add that these two "prophets" are endorsed by Jacob Prasch of Moriel Ministries who made is own "Brexit" video earlier this year.{4}

Regarding David Noakes' Brexit prophecy in September, I would remind my readers of the seriousness of making false prophecies in the name of the Lord. (Deuteronomy 18:20)

Further "prophecies" on "Brexit: the UK Leaving the EU" have been made by Wendy Alec, Sharon Stone, Paul Barfett and others.{5}

But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ “You may say in your heart, ‘How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’ “When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him. (Deuteronomy 18:20-22)

THE LATEST "PROPHETIC WORD" TO BRITAIN BY DAVID NOAKES: CAN A TRUE PROPHET OF GOD BE ECUMENICAL?

David Noakes is known in certain circles as a "prophetic voice" in the UK. His first person "Thus saith the Lord" prophecies are accepted by a number of Christians in the UK. Despite all outward appearances of sincerity and truth, the fly in the ointment is that Noakes has his fingers in many ecumenical pies. I recently demonstrated this in my previous article condemning Jacob Prasch's (Moriel Ministries) irresponsible endorsement of Noakes as a valid prophetic voice.{1} Prasch's dubious endorsement of Noakes, has, I believe, misled a number of Christians into receiving Noakes "ministry" and "words of prophecy" as genuine. I would argue that this is not at all the case for reasons which are very obvious.

About David Noakes

The significant factor in David Noakes "ministry" appears to be that he and Clifford Hill (Issachar Ministries) have been friends and close associates for more than 30 years. According to saltshakers.com{2} Noakes practised as a solicitor until 1975 when he claims that he was called into "full time ministry". From 1985 until 1991 he worked with Clifford Hill and became the leader of Prophetic Word Ministries (PWM) where he subsequently became a Trustee. Noakes was a visiting teacher for Ellel Ministries for a number of years. He is a Trustee, and was previously Chairman of the Board of Hatikvah Film Trust, whose stated objective is: ".....to foster an understanding in the Church of the Hebraic roots of the Christian faith as well as the place of the nation of Israel and the Jewish people, from both a Biblical and historical perspective, in the purposes of God. A related objective is to counter anti-Semitism.produce film documentaries designed to make known Biblical truth concerning the Jewish people and the Land of Israel."{3}

Issachar Ministries, Prophetic Word Ministries (PWM), CandM Ministries, the Centre for Contemporary Ministry (CMM) and Harvest Vision are quite a complex web of inter-connected organisations based at Moggerhanger Hall in Bedfordshire which is ecumenical. Noakes is an advisor to Issachar Ministries which previously operated under the umbrella of PWM and he was a director of Harvest Vision until 30th November 2000. Miguel Hayworth of UK Apologetics Library has exposed the ecumenical connections of Hill and Noakes in detail and he warns: " .....we need to bring this to light put into question the ministry of Clifford Hill and David Noakes and not accept at face value of CCM, ISSACHAR Ministries, Moggerhanger House, etc."{4}

Another of Clifford Hill's "friends" is former Archbishop and Druid, Rowan Williams.

The Confusion of Clifford Hill

Clifford Hill was the founding editor and is currently Editor in Chief of the Christian magazine Prophecy Today. In common with Noakes, Hill also claims to be a "prophetic voice" in the UK.{5}   

On the one hand Hill warns about the state of the nation etc. and on the other, he holds hands with apostates!  He seems to be quite adept at vacillating between two opinions and giving "yes and no" responses (James 1:8 cf. 1 Corinthians 14:8). He was originally wary of the so called "Toronto Blessing", and then for some inexplicable reason he attended the "Waves of the Spirit" conference held in the UK, 1996, and enthused over John Arnott (Toronto Airport Church). Of course, in doing so he put his seal of approval on the "Toronto Blessing" itself.  

Clifford Hill: "Bob Jones claims to have special powers of 'divination' which operate through his fingers and other senses...another occult experience.  He told Hill to stand and to raise both hands. Remarkably, Hill did as he was told! Jones then put his fingers against Hill's fingers, and told him that he would feel a 'transmission of energy'. Hill was then to tell Jones which finger was shaking.  Hill said 'I, meanwhile, was praying for the whole armour of God to protect me.'" {6}

Clifford Hill is misguided and confused if he genuinely thinks that anything good can possibly come out of Roman Catholicism or the backslidden CofE. Rome teaches a different gospel based on sacraments and not on faith alone. (Galatians 1:6). God calls his people OUT of false churches and apostate situations. What communion hath light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:15-16; Revelation 18:4). Nothing good will come out of Rome or her harlot daughters (MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH). (Revelation 17:16).

Noakes' "prophecy" and Hill's associated message can be viewed on the link at the beginning of this post.

As with his previous "prophecies", this latest "word" from Noakes is innocuous. I would expect to hear something like this from a fortune teller who says what their client wants to hear. Suspiciously, the prophecy gives what I believe is false hope to Britain. Considering the backslidden state of the churches here in the UK, I do not believe that a positive message of hope is at all appropriate! Noakes also throws in the often repeated revival mantra for good measure.

Noakes: ".....You in Britain are like the good figs who were taken into exile before judgment fell (Jeremiah 24). 

There will be great darkness and upheaval in the European institution; but I have done this in your nation at this time in order to preserve you.

Therefore, look up and be greatly encouraged, because out of this time of turmoil and upheaval will come great opportunity. Those of you who are committed to me I will uphold, I will protect, and I will send upon you a new outpouring of My Spirit, that you may speak My word in Spirit and in Truth; and My Spirit will bear witness to it and it shall bring forth fruit.

I do not say that your whole nation will turn to Me, for that will not be the case; but beloved, I will bring multitudes into a valley of decision and many will turn to Me, for despite the apostasy which has gripped the nation, I have not failed to love the nation of Britain, and in My grace and mercy, I will continue to pour My love upon you, even though you have angered Me greatly.

Take heart, be encouraged and look up. I will walk with you through the time of turmoil and upheaval....."

Are "good figs" ecumenical? (Jeremiah 24:1-10). The churches in Britain are critically backslidden. Britain has no more reason than Europe to be specially "preserved" by the Lord.

They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace. (Jeremiah 8:11) The "wound of my people" is of course ecumenism - a festering sore that cannot be healed, except through repentance. Hill and Noakes, rather than warning about ecumenism, are at the very epicenter of it! There will be no revival unless the church turns to the teachings (doctrine) of Jesus Christ. The ecumenical movement operates through the spirit of Antichrist and is diametrically opposed to Jesus' teachings!

The false prophet Hananiah prophesied "peace" falsely. There are very dark days ahead for the whole world, including Britain and her ecumenical apostates.

Jeremiah the prophet:

Amen! May the Lord do so; may the Lord make the words that you have prophesied come true, and bring back to this place from Babylon the vessels of the house of the Lord, and all the exiles. Yet hear now this word that I speak in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people. The prophets who preceded you and me from ancient times prophesied war, famine, and pestilence against many countries and great kingdoms. As for the prophet who prophesies peace, when the word of that prophet comes to pass, then it will be known that the Lord has truly sent the prophet. (Jeremiah 28:6-9)

Perhaps the response to Noakes latest "prophetic word" should go pretty much along the same lines as Jeremiah's response to Hananiah:

Amen! May the Lord do so; may the Lord make the words that you have prophesied come true,

The prophets who preceded you and me from ancient times prophesied war, famine, and pestilence against many countries and great kingdoms. As for the prophet who prophesies peace, when the word of that prophet comes to pass, then it will be known that the Lord has truly sent the prophet.

Being a false prophet is a risky business: 

Then the prophet Hananiah took the yoke-bars from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet and broke them. And Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, “Thus says the Lord: Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all the nations within two years.” But Jeremiah the prophet went his way.

Sometime after the prophet Hananiah had broken the yoke-bars from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: “Go, tell Hananiah, ‘Thus says the Lord: You have broken wooden bars, but you have made in their place bars of iron. For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: I have put upon the neck of all these nations an iron yoke to serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they shall serve him, for I have given to him even the beasts of the field.’”And Jeremiah the prophet said to the prophet Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you, and you have made this people trust in a lie. Therefore thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will remove you from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, because you have uttered rebellion against the Lord.’”

In that same year, in the seventh month, the prophet Hananiah died. (Jeremiah 28:10-17)

Nebuchadnezzar is of course a type of the Antichrist to come. What is presently taking place in the churches is a prelude to full blown apostasia (falling away). God's Word has been all but abandoned in favour of a false "unity" which embraces other religions. The churches are being set up for the disastrous strong delusion of the Antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:11). 

God's Condemnation of Lying Prophets: Jeremiah 23:10-32 

10For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.

11For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.

12Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.

13And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.

14I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

False prophet Clifford Hill prophesied "revival" in 2008 at the Excel Centre in London:  "There will be a move of God within four years, by the time the Olympics come to London."

TRINITY LIFE CHURCH LEICESTER AND OPEN HANDS: THE EMPTINESS OF WORLDLY ACCOLADES

You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4:4)

Open Hands Trust was established in 2006 by Trinity Life Church (TLC) in Highfields Leicester, an Assemblies of God Pentecostal denomination. In May 2009, Open Hands opened a Compassion Centre in a nearby converted garage.{1} Four years later, in 2013, they received a huge boost to their finances (£446,626), as part of the lottery's Reaching Communities project, Shelter Housing Aid and Research Leicester (Sharp).

Helping disadvantaged people is of course biblical. (Luke 12:33-34). However, in the past, I have questioned the WAY in which the leaders TLC have gone about their so called charitable deeds. With grants, gifts etc. there is little personal cost or risk to the leaders who run Open Hands more as a business than a charity. A few years ago, I expressed concerns about the problematic ethical implications of TLC's lottery grant being due to the proceeds of gambling. (2 Peter 2/2). Not least of course, a requirement of receiving lottery funding was that TLC must DEMONSTRABLY “believe and abide by” secular equality values. Such an undertaking was at complete variance with the scriptures!{2} Open Hands seem to have gone from strength to strength in worldly terms, and they have expanded dramatically since they received their thirty pieces of silver. (Zechariah 11:12; Matthew 26:15, 27:9).

Earlier this year, Open Hands Trust received the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. It would be very interesting to know who actually nominated Open Hands for this award. I have in fact asked the question, but apparently this nformation cannot be released due to data protection laws!{3} The word "cronyism" is certainly not an alien concept to TLC, as graphically evidenced by David Hind, their pastor, and also their former director and trustee, Adam Simmonds, during his period as PCC of Northamptonshire!{4} Why are TCL wasting their time chasing after worldly gain and honours? (Philippians 3:19).

TLC's infamous 6 Degrees Coffee House also joined in with the award celebrations with their "Queen's award cake". This coffee house is yet another troubling TLC anomaly.  Is anyone else wondering about TLC's occult logo and the three sixes in plain sight on the front of their coffee house? (Revelation 13:18). {5} 6 Degrees has strong associations with Satanism and the Temple of Set - it is anything but Christian!

Let us be honest for a few minutes shall we?

Before we all get too excited, and when David Hind and TLC have finished fawning over "Her Majesty", perhaps we should remember that amongst other things, this is the woman who signed the Abortion Act in 1967 and the Equal Marriages Act in 2013. One might wonder about TLC's motives in flattering the Queen, when in the process they turn a blind eye to things which they should abhor: loving the praise of men more than the praise of God. (John 12:43; cf. Romans 16:18. With flattering lips and with a double heart they speak. May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaks great things; (Psalm 12:2-3; cf. Psalm 5:9; Psalm 55:20-21; Psalm 62:4) 

I am reminded of King Baudouin of Belgium, who stated in 1990 that he could not sign into law a bill permitting abortion without violating his conscience. "In April 1990 Baudouin 'abdicated' for a day, rather than sign a government bill liberalising the law on abortion. 'Does freedom of conscience apply to everyone except the King?' Baudouin asked with uncharacteristic public emotion in a letter to parliament."{6}

"When the Queen signed the Royal Assent for the Equal Marriages Act, allowing gay people to marry for the first time, she put it down and said ‘Well, who’d have thought 62 years ago when I came to the throne, I’d be signing something like this? Isn’t it wonderful?’”{7}

There are many theories about the Royal Family and their various Luciferian associations on the Internet. I do not know, and I do not want to know, what these people do in secret. (Ephesians 5:12). However, it is a stretch too far, and we simply cannot swallow the lie that the Queen is a true Christian when we are in possession certain indisputable facts. For instance, antithetical to true faith in Jesus Christ, the Queen became initiated into the Druids in 1946. These are the kind of activities that anyone professing "biblical faith" should be ashamed. (Romans 6:21).

Other famous Druids include the Queen Mother, Prince Charles, former Archbishop Rowan Williams and Winston Churchill. It is hardly necessary to state the Druids affiliation with paganism.

Can we assume from their support of the Queen, that the leadership of TLC concur with the Abortion Act in 1967, the Equal Marriages Act in 2013.. and do TLC also concur with druidic beliefs, including witchcraft, reincarnation or worse? Those who do such things are an abomination to the Lord. (Deuteronomy 18:10-12; Leviticus 20:6; Galatians 5:19-21). The sin of guilt by association is repeatedly emphasised in the scriptures: ..what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14-17; Ephesians 5:6-7; Titus 3:10-11; Romans 16:17)

It was designed to infuse the Arthurian values into the 24 people closest to the monarch of England, as their very own round table. In England, there has traditionally be no higher honor."{10} This link shows that a large number of Grand Masters of English Freemasonry have also been Knights of the Garter. The Order of the Garter is said to be the parent organisation over Freemasonry. Worldwide, the garter is of course a symbol of witchcraft.{11} Not only is Queen Elizabeth II the Grand Patroness of Freemasonry, her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, became a Freemason in 1953, the same year as the coronation. He is a member of Navy Lodge No 2612 in London.{12}

Which "king" does the Queen actually serve?

The questionable book: "The Servant Queen and the King She Serves" produced by ecumenical Hope Together attempts to convince us that the Queen has "biblical faith". David Hind in fact re-tweeted the HOPE Twitter message congratulating the Queen on her 90th birthday in April: "Happy 90th Birthday Your Majesty! May God bless you for all your faithfulness to Him."{13} 

Hind clearly continues his attachment to the ecumenical camp/agenda following on from his pivotal role in Churches Together Men's Fellowship Breakfast in 2014.{14} Is biblical faith compatible with paganism and ecumenism? We should not forget that Satan masquerades as an "angel of light" appearing as one thing, but in reality quite another. (2 Corinthians 11:14). The Queen refers to "Jesus" as "an anchor in my life and a role-model."{15} She makes many innocuous references to "Jesus", and yet she has never declared His exclusivity as the only way to the Father. (John 14:6). There are too many contradictions in the Queen's associations and actions that belie her confession of biblical faith. The "Jesus" she serves is not compatible in any sense with biblical Christianity. (2 Corinthians 11:4). Similarly, the tragic demise of TLC's spiritual condition is evidenced by too many contradictions so as to belie their own claim to genuine biblical faith. Their nod towards ecumenism and their negligence in preaching the true gospel of Jesus Christ are obvious red flags. (1 Corinthians 9:16). Though they appear to be doing many "good works", if TLC are genuine, they let their "light shine under a bushel" very well.. (Matthew 5:14-16).

The quest for the world's approval is nothing less than spiritual harlotry according to the scriptures. Those who seek worldly accolades have not understood that genuine faith in Jesus Christ is antithetical to, and involves a rejection of, worldly values and other faiths. In my early years as a Christian, TLC consisted of a small shabby building on a bomb site in a very poor area.. we were nothing and we had nothing at all in worldly terms, and yet we were rich (Revelation 2:9). I felt exceptionally blessed and unworthy to attend such an assembly at that time. Tragically, all the sacrifice, the giving and work that has gone into TLC over the years has resulted at best in nothing more than a successful worldly operation. At worst, TLC is a thinly disguised Luciferian operation being directed by the spirit of Antichrist. I would be ashamed to attend TLC now, and I am very thankful that the Lord opened my eyes and led me out of it. (Revelation 18:4).

It is very sad to see that Andrew Upton, the pastor of of Knighton Free Church, has publicly congratulated Open Hands on their Award. Open Hands is listed as a partner of KFC on their website and Upton regularly associates with TLC apostates. No relief from the falling away there either I am afraid. (2 Thessalonians 2:3).{16}



I warn my readers not to trust TLC and their friends. It is my firm conviction that they do not serve the Lord Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth.. (John 4:24)

DR WATSON'S PRETRIB NON DISCOVERY By Dave MacPherson

     Dr. William Watson, history prof at Colorado Christian University, has penned a 55-page paper declaring that he has found examples of pretribulation rapture teaching considerably earlier than the claims that such teaching was "begun by Darby in the late nineteenth century." (Somehow he wrote "late" instead of "early.")

     Those interested in his paper can Google "Pretribulational Rapture in 17th and 18th Century England (pdf)." It features the highlights of his book "Dispensationalism Before Darby" (Lampion Press, 2015) which has been lauded by LaHaye, Ice, Reagan and other pretrib diehards.

     Right off the bat I noticed his misspelling of well-known prophecy writers. Lindsey became "Lindsay," Benware became "Benaware," Jeffrey became "Jeffery," and Scofield became "Schofield."

     I soon noticed, when going over Watson's attempt to prove the existence of pretrib rapture belief in his 17th and 18th century sources, that what he quoted was anything but pretribism. Many times those writers of yesteryear would merely be talking about "preservation" (or synonymous terms). Just before the quotes, Watson in short prefaces psyched up readers with a liberal usage of "Pretribulation" (or pretrib) and he seemed to use the word "rapture" endlessly (his way of putting "rapture" glasses on readers!). Oddly, I found only one mention of "dispensationalism" in one of the featured quotes even though it is in Watson's book title!

     What would be announced as pretrib rapture doctrine would be nothing more than a rapture before the final "conflagration," or before "Israel's resurrection," or before the final days of the Beast's power, or before Babylon's destruction, or before the "great destruction" at Armageddon, or before the Beast's zenith of "power," or before the Beast and false prophet are "cast into the lake of fire."

     Watson at times would say that some ancient writer taught two future comings, but upon checking it was found that the writer was merely talking about a coming before, and another coming after, a future millennium - certainly nothing about a pretrib coming! He admitted that a good number of the writers he researched were actually posttribulational in outlook, but by including them wasn't he undercutting his main purpose of claiming discovery of pretribulationism in writers centuries before Darby?

     On the first page of his paper, Watson mentioned a debate he had in 2007 with a fellow CCU prof who stated that dispensationalism and related ideas "began only 150 years ago in the mind of Darby."

     Watson revealed that the same debate was what inspired him to search for pretrib teaching in old books in British libraries. Since no posttrib or prewrath profs that I know would have an incentive to purposely look for pretribulationism before Darby's time, it's apparent to me that Watson, well versed on the current international "rapture" debate, had already been favoring the pretrib view which in recent years has seen pretrib merchandisers like Thomas Ice claiming evidence of pretrib in pre-1830 writers like Pseudo-Ephraem. In fact, Watson's paper cited Ice far more than any other prophecy writer of today!

     And when analyzing 18th century preacher Morgan Edwards, Watson echoed Ice and selectively quoted Edwards in the manner Ice had done! For an accurate assessment of Edwards, Google "Morgan Edwards' Rapture View" which shows that Edwards tied his "rapture" to the cosmic signs in Matt. 24! For more on Ice, pretribism's bulldog, Google "Pretrib Rapture Pride," "Walvoord Melts Ice," "Thomas Ice (Bloopers)," and "Be careful in polemics - Peripatetic Learning" (the latter written by a doctoral student in England).
     At the end of his paper Watson listed four of the writers he analyzed, said that none of them were pretrib but that they did mention "others who were" pretrib. I checked the quotes from all four (Thomas Collier, 1674; Praisegod Barebones (sic), 1675; Thomas Burnett, 1681; and Pierre Jurieu, 1687) - and none of the four mentioned anyone they knew of who was pretrib! And after all the pretrib "hype" in his title and throughout his prefaces before the quotes he offers, Watson has no category of "Pretribulation" in his chart at the back but has other categories showing what his authors saw in the way of "two comings," "resurrection," etc. and of course those who used "rapture" (but not after the word "pretrib")!

     Watson does mention Edward Irving on p. 32, and says that Irving and Darby "had begun teaching a pre-tribulation rapture" by "1831." My research shows that Irving and his Irvingites (who, BTW, credited a Miss Margaret Macdonald in Scotland as being the very first person to "discover" a pretrib rapture in the Bible) publicly taught pretrib in Sep. of 1830 in their journal "The Morning Watch." Darby, on the other hand, was still defending posttrib historicism in Dec. 1830 in the "Christian Herald," saw in 1837 the church "going in with Him to the marriage, to wit, with Jerusalem and the Jews," and didn't clearly teach pretrib until 1839 ("Notes on the Revelation"); his pretrib rapture was then based on the man child "caught up" in Rev. 12:5 (but Irving had used the same symbol for the same purpose back in 1831 and Darby, an avid reader of Irving's journal, "borrowed" Irving's thought without giving him credit!).

     If anyone before 1830 had taught a pretrib rapture, I'm sure that Darby would have heard about it. He was well read, knew several modern languages and even some ancient ones. The earliest pretrib teachers (in the 1830s) all stated that the pretrib rapture concept was a brand-new idea. In an 1834 letter Darby, while discussing the novel pretrib coming, wrote that "the thoughts are new," adding that "it would not be well to have it so clear, as it frightens people. We must pursue it steadily; it works like leaven...."

     Finally, I've long known that writers who bring up the origin of the pretrib view usually pad their books by quoting writers living centuries before and after the real originator and fail to use a microscope or magnifying glass like Sherlock Holmes and really focus on "who done it." It's almost as if certain writers are using a telescope to find the pretrib origin while looking out the window of an airplane circling the earth!

     I can imagine Dr. Watson contacting me and saying "Are you accusing me of using a telescope?"

     With apologies to Arthur Conan Doyle and P. G. Wodehouse, I could reply: "Elementary, my dear Watson, elementary!"

Grider's Shocking False Statements: 

"Christians who find the church within Daniel's 70th week have embraced replacement theology and a pernicious form of antisemitism."

"People who, in error, attempt to place the Church in the time of Jacob's trouble can only do it by putting the Church where Israel should be, and as such are guilty of teaching Replacement Theology. They are guilty of stealing promises made to the Jews and Israel alone, and God will have none of that."

"Christians are never 'God’s people' in the Bible, we are His redeemed through the work that Jesus did on the cross at Calvary."

Perhaps Mr Grider should read his Bible again! Christians are indisputably referred to as "God's people" in the New Testament: 

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. (1 Peter 2:9-10 cf. Romans 9:25-26)

Grider: "We are 'elect of God' but we are not 'the elect' as that is always a reference to the Jews."

Grider makes a false distinction, making the definite article preceding "elect" exclusively applicable to Israel. The word “elect” simply means “chosen”. There are many references to both Israel and the church as God's elect/his elect/the elect.  "The elect" are those Gentiles and literal Jews/Israelites who have known, now know, or will know Jesus as Lord, Saviour, and Messiah.{1}

Further verses about the elect: Matthew 24:22-31; Mark 13:20-27; Luke 18:7; 2 John 1:1; Romans 8:33, Romans 11:7; 1 Peter 1:1; 1 Timothy 2:10; Titus 1:1). 

Jacob's Trouble

Despite being at odds with the multifarious errors of pretribulational doctrine, the post-tribulation view is in complete harmony with the pretribulationism concerning Israel and could never be described as being antisemitic! Post-tribulationists, in agreement with the Apostle Paul, believe that God has not rejected his people (Israel), and that there is a remnant chosen by grace (Romans 11:1-7). Post-tribulationists believe that all the Old Testament prophecies will yet be literally fulfilled in their minutiae; such as in Isaiah 11 and 65 for example. This new angle being pushed by some militant pre-tribulationists is totally dishonest and entirely misrepresents the post-tribulation view! Mr Grider's allegations are totally inappropriate and are very damaging to the Body of Christ. According to Grider, Spurgeon, Ryle, Muller, Newton, Tregelles, and a whole host of other historic pre-millenial believers are now anti-semitic! It was only the post-millennial believers that the charge of "antisemitism" could be directed, but apparently not any more!

Does Jeremiah 30:7 automatically preclude the church from the great tribulation? The faulty dispensational position that the church cannot be present for any of the 70th week of Daniel is a non sequitur fallacy. It is based on the false presupposition that God deals with Israel exclusively after the church (believing Jews and Gentiles) is raptured. However, the evidence that the 70th week is not limited to Israel alone is overwhelming, just as the destruction of the temple and the diaspora was not limited to the Jews (Israel) alone, but most certainly affected believers (Acts 8:1-4, 11:19; James 1:1; 1 Peter 1:1). Where there is a distinction, is that one third of unbelieving Israel will flee from the Antichrist into the wilderness (Petra?) and will be divinely protected for 1260 days/42 prophetic months (Revelation 12:1-6; Daniel 12:1,7,11,12; cf  Matthew 24:15-22). 

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. (Zechariah 12:10; )

Who are the remnant of Israel's seed?

Revelation 12:17 clearly shows that in his frustration at being thwarted in his pursuit of Israel, the dragon (Satan) will make war with "the remnant of her seed".  Who else keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ except Christians?

And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman (Israel) which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 12:13-17) 

Grider: "The Bible never calls this time the ‘Great Tribulation’, that is a misquote from Matthew 24 where Jesus says there will be ‘great tribulation’ as an adjective, but not as a definitive noun."  

Nevertheless Jesus Christ does define this time as a period of ..great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:21 cf. Daniel 12:1). The term "great tribulation" is repeated in Revelation 7:14 as a noun phrase. This period is clearly defined twice as "great tribulation" affecting the whole world in the scriptures, so why does Grider split hairs about adjectives and nouns? 

The Pre-tribulation Rapture Deception

Pretribulationism has no scriptural support and actually throws up more problems than answers. Passages which contradict pretribulationism, such as 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8 and the book of Matthew, are either ignored altogether or ascribed to unsaved Israel. The absurdity of relegating the entire book of Matthew as having no application to the church, as some do, is dangerous nonsense, leaving believers unprepared for the last days and extremely vulnerable to deception.. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 cf. Matthew 28:20). As such, and given its history, we can accurately say that pretribulationism is human tradition which nullifies the word of God (Matthew 15:3). J.N. Darby appears to have appropriated the pre-tribulation rapture from the Irvingites and began teaching it circa 1830. It was subsequently popularised by C.I. Scofield via his "reference Bible".  Darbyism, so-called, spread like wild fire throughout the USA, giving rise to the Dallas Theological Seminary and all its off-shoots that we see today in the form of the "Left Behind" series and "Rapture Ready" website and many other such populist outlets. 

The Post-Tribulation Rapture

People can mean different things by the post-tribulation rapture. In my view, the most coherent position is the pre-wrath rapture i.e. the rapture occurs after the sixth seal is opened (Revelation 6:12). In contrast to pretribulationism, the pre-wrath position can be argued consistently from several passages of scripture, including the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, and the Book of Revelation. Paul Dorgan gives a good comprehensive teaching on the pre-wrath view on the link below. Unfortunately, pseudo theologian and chancer Jacob Prasch (Moriel Ministries) has corrupted the pre-wrath position and has muddied the waters in recent times with his intra-seal rapture nonsense (Ezekiel 34:18). Intra-seal is extremely problematic and brings nothing but confusion to the debate.{2}




Post-tribulationist Joe Schimmel of Good Fight Ministries (Left Behind or Led Astray){3}, has a different view to pre-wrath. As the link below shows, Schimmel is demonstrably not anti-semitic!
