DAVID NOAKES: THUS SAITH THE LORD?

A word from David Noakes,... for weighing and testing..
https://prophecytoday.uk/study/prophetic-insights/item/1799-a-day-of-decision.html

David Noakes' suspicious habit of writing in the first person of God in the style of the Old Testament prophets continues. The Old Testament prophets spoke in the place of the Lord Himself with "Thus saith the Lord" declarations e.g. Exodus 4:22, Zechariah 1:3, Ezekiel 12:28. By speaking in the first person of the Lord, Noakes puts himself on a par with these OT prophets. He even prophesies to nations! The last true prophet to a speak in the first person of God was John the Baptist. Not even the apostles wrote in this manner, even though their writings are the inspired Word of God! (1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16). There are a number of examples in the book of Acts that refer to the Holy Spirit giving specific direction, either individually or corporately to the early church: Acts 8:26-29, 9:10-16, 10:3-6, 10:19-20, 13:2; 16:6-7;16:9-10; 21:4 etc. These New Testament directives given by the Holy Spirit were not convoluted. There is not one example in the New Testament of the Holy Spirit directing a prophet or a believer to speak in the first person of God or to write in the elaborate style of David Noakes! Even the John the Revelator did not write in the first person of the Lord: “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.” (Revelation 1:11).

Did God forget to tell David Noakes that ecumenism is evil? The complex web of ecumenical organizations Noakes is involved with includes Issachar Ministries (Clifford Hill), Prophetic Word Ministries (PWM), CandM Ministries, the Centre for Contemporary Ministry (CMM), Harvest Vision and The Sisterhood of Mary. (See Further Links).

Noakes invites us to "weigh and test" the content of his "word". Below is my analysis of his three times repeated phrase "scourge of sickness".

..the great and terrible day of the Lord is not far off...
I have released the scourge of sickness..

Beloved, do not be deceived. God has been watching while the cup of iniquity of the nations of the earth is coming near to fullness. In my love and concern I am shouting a global warning through this present scourge of sickness, in the hope that even at this late hour many will repent and turn to me, before the final judgments of irretrievable disaster, the outpouring of my pent-up anger, begin to be released, for then it will be too late and I will not turn back from doing all that is prophesied in my word.

Therefore I have released a curse, a global scourge of sickness for which men have no remedy; and no nation will escape unscathed.

It is unlikely that the present highly exaggerated "scourge of sickness" has actually been released by the Lord, although He has certainly allowed the disinformation associated with COVID-19 to develop. I would argue, along with others, that this present pandemic is actually a PLANdemic i.e. a man made situation accompanied by a great deal of media fearmongering in order to further the formation of the New World Order. Anyone who digs below the media coverage will easily ascertain that Noakes' so called "scourge of sickness" is highly questionable.

Chief Scientific Adviser Sir Patrick Vallance: "It is worth remembering again that the ONS rate of people who have got COVID on their death certificate, it doesn't necessarily mean they were  infected because many of them haven't been tested, so we just need to understand the difference." {1}

COVID-19 IN PERSPECTIVE, EVEN WITH THE FALSE STATISTICS:

What does a "scourge of sickness" from the Lord really look like?

The Old Testament gives various examples of plagues sent by God, both upon the Israelites, and also upon their enemies. (Exodus (9:14-15:26). On two separate occasions God destroyed significant numbers of Israelites due to their rebellion against Him. (Numbers 16:49-25:9). God warned Israel of the stark consequences of rebellion towards Him in Leviticus 26:21,25 and Deuteronomy 28:15-68. In the New Testament we are warned of "birth pains", consisting of wars, rumors of wars, famines and earthquakes. (Matthew 24:7-8).
The Black Death, also known as the Pestilence and the Plague, was the most fatal pandemic recorded in human history. {2} Many believed during the 14th century that the black death was a punishment from God. At that time whole villages disappeared and one third of the worlds population died.
The Spanish Flu from 1918-1920 infected 500 million people and killed an estimated 50 million people. However, some experts suggest that the total fatalities may have been twice that number. Once again many believed that this was an act of God.

All of this pales into insignificant when compared with the day of the Lord.

God's wrath poured out in the book of Revelation:

6Now the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to blow them.

7The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

8The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. 9A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

10The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 11The name of the star is Wormwood.b A third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died from the water, because it had been made bitter.

12The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light might be darkened, and a third of the day might be kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night.

13Then I looked, and I heard an eagle crying with a loud voice as it flew directly overhead, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!”

1And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit.a 2He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. 3Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth. 4They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5They were allowed to torment them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings someone. 6And in those days people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them.

7In appearance the locusts were like horses prepared for battle: on their heads were what looked like crowns of gold; their faces were like human faces, 8their hair like women’s hair, and their teeth like lions’ teeth; 9they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings was like the noise of many chariots with horses rushing into battle. 10They have tails and stings like scorpions, and their power to hurt people for five months is in their tails. 11They have as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he is called Apollyon.b

12The first woe has passed; behold, two woes are still to come.

13Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God, 14saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour, the day, the month, and the year, were released to kill a third of mankind. 16The number of mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand; I heard their number. 17And this is how I saw the horses in my vision and those who rode them: they wore breastplates the color of fire and of sapphirec and of sulfur, and the heads of the horses were like lions’ heads, and fire and smoke and sulfur came out of their mouths. 18By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed, by the fire and smoke and sulfur coming out of their mouths. 19For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails, for their tails are like serpents with heads, and by means of them they wound.

20The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, 21nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts. (Revelation 8:6-13; 9:1-21)

There are some biblical sounding phrases coming from Noakes, but is it really his remit to warn the worldwide church Old Testament style? I suspect not! Any person who proclaims "Thus says the Lord" or the equivalent is either operating in the flesh or they have an evil religious spirit.

..even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14).

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1)

  1. Treena, thanks for your thoughtful response to David Noakes prophecies. Appreciated. I have known David since 1990 and believe him to be a man of integrity. He could have been mistaken, of course, like the rest of us. I have had a go at some of the questions you raise about our current situation at www.turntojesus.co.uk and would appreciate feedback. Best wishes, David Pennant, Woking.

  2. David Noakes is a very "likeable" man David Pennant. Nevertheless if we examine what he says biblically, there are some very serious problems. You do not address the COVID-19 media hype and my other concerns on your website. I see that you previously held a position with the CofE. As long as professing Christians continue with the ecumenical agenda of the CofE and the RCC, there is a major sticking point. The many good causes being upheld by David Noakes and Clifford Hill mean nothing without the uncompromised gospel of Jesus Christ.
