The Apostle Paul:
If anyone else thinks he has grounds for confidence in the flesh, I have more: circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin; a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee; as to zeal, persecuting the church; as to righteousness in the law, faultless. But whatever was gain to me I count as loss for the sake of Christ. More than that, I count all things as loss compared to the surpassing excellence of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God on the basis of faith. I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to Him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. (Philippians 3:4-11).

Dear Treena, I was wondering if you were aware of Dr. Lennox's new book endorsed by Rick Warren? (God, AI and the End of History). I find this connection troubling. I am also wondering if this is stemming from the Colson Fellows Program, as I believe both are indirectly associated with this network of teachers and preachers uniting to train and give answers to the culture of the day. The quote on the inside jacket of the book reads, "I read everything John Lennox writes because if his amazing blend of rigorous scholarship with practical insights and applications for all of us." Rick Warren. There is nothing wrong with the quote but the known duplicitious nature of Warren and the alliance is a bit unnerving.
ReplyDeleteI have just looked on Amazon, Red, and you are right, it is very troubling. I am very wary of the Colson Fellows Program as I don't need anyone telling "what to think and how to think"! Whether this is their connection I couldn't say. God bless.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Im keeping this on the watch list!
