MIKE ROGERS CLOSINGSTAGES EXPOSES JACOB PRASCH

Mike Rogers of closingstages.net/ exposes Jacob Prasch's flawed correction of John MacArthur and the dangerous situation that arises when one false teacher corrects another.

A recurring tactic of Jacob Prasch is that he frequently attacks a particular false teacher giving valid scriptural arguments for his position. In his "righteous anger" he is incensed and offended ..how dare he teach such a terrible thing etc. When he has won over his hearers, he administers a lethal injection of his own false teaching, after which he reverts back to the false teaching of the person he is attacking. This clever ruse seems to work on the undiscerning. For those of us who are wise to it however, we recognise it for what it is.. spiritual deception!

This was precisely the pattern Prasch employed when he corrected John MacArthur's false teaching about the mark of the beast some time ago.

Prasch begins by pointing out MacArthur's grievous error about the mark of the beast. He then proceeds to uphold MacArthur's pre-trib error that the Holy Spirit is the Restrainer of 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7. Critically the scriptures do not identify the Restrainer! Pretribulationists generally believe erroneously that the tribulation is a seven year period. Prasch frequently vacillates between seven years and three and a half years. {1} Prasch teaches elsewhere that the Holy Spirit will not convict the world of sin or righteous and judgement for the entire seven year period of Daniel's 70th week. Again, depending on his whim, Prasch vacillates between the entire seven year period and the three and a half year period i.e. the period following the revelation of the Antichrist. (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Significantly, the scriptures only indicate that no-one will repent during the period of God's wrath following the rapture. (Revelation 9:20-21). The implication appears to be that during the outpouring of God's wrath, people will be given over to a reprobate mind and will be immune to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 1:28 cf.1 Timothy 4:2).

Prasch continues: "The Antichrist comes to power. The Holy Spirit will not restrain.. He will not operate the way Jesus predicted He would in John's gospel convicting the world of sin, of righteousness and judgement. (John 16:8) Evil will not be restrained any more. "

Mike Rogers: "So Jacob says that Jesus didn't know all the ways the Holy Spirit operates.. or since the Holy Spirit will not operate the way that Jesus predicted He would in John's gospel.. if Jesus being one Person of the Trinity, and the Holy Spirit being one Person of the Trinity, how is it that Jesus could have missed the mark on how the Holy Spirit would operate in the world at the end of the age? Where does the scripture say that the operation of the Holy Spirit changes or ceases at the end of the age?

Mike goes on to challenge Prasch's theory that John 16:8 and 2 Thessalonians 2:7 are synonymous.

Over to Mike..
